Marvel Announces Cast for Upcoming Fantastic Four

by | Feb 14, 2024 | Disney Movies

After years of speculation, Marvel has officially announced the star-studded cast for the title characters of their upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.

Way back in 2019, Kevin Feige announced at Comic-Con that a Fantastic Four film was set to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Previously, the characters have been featured in both 2005 and 2015 iterations, meaning the forthcoming 2025 movie would mark the superheroes’ third new casting in the 2000s. Since then, Marvel fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the casting, which has been quiet…until now!

Fantastic Four Cast Announced

In a Valentine’s Day surprise, Marvel Instagram officially announced the cast for the upcoming Fantastic Four. Pedro Pascal will be playing Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), while Vanessa Kirby has been cast as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing).

The news was shared alongside a 1960s-inspired logo, perhaps alluding to a time period for the upcoming film. The film will be directed by Matt Shakman, best known in the MCU as the director of WandaVision. Shakman will be working alongside a script by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer.

Along with the cast announcement, Disney shared a release date for the film of July 25, 2025.
