There’s one event that makes that galaxy far, far away seem a lot closer. Star Wars Celebration Anaheim gave fans of the intergalactic franchise everything they needed and more.

This year’s event ran from Thurs May 26 to May 29 and gave attendees a look at what’s in store for Batuu and beyond.

If you weren’t able to make it to California to experience it for yourself, don’t worry. We’ve put together a round-up of the biggest announcements, trailers, and merch reveals to come out of Star Wars Celebration Anaheim.

NEW Character Encounters Coming To Disneyland

At a panel aptly called, “From a Galaxy Far, Far Away to a Disney Park Near You,” Imagineers and members of the Lucasfilm team revealed the new Star Wars characters coming to Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland.

As of May 28, guests of Black Spire Outpost may spot Boba Fett and Fennec Shand lurking in the shadows.

Later this year (no specific date specified at the time of writing), Galaxy’s Edge will welcome none other than the Mandalorian himself. And before you ask, yes. He’s bringing Grogu with him.

But wait. Will all these new characters co-existing on Batuu cause some Marvel multiverse of madness style chaos? Not to worry. Walt Disney Imagineering reassures guests that characters “will remain in their specific story and timeline and won’t intersect with other characters or stories that would not be appropriate for them.”

On day three, Star Wars Celebration Anaheim attendees at the Mando+ panel were given an exclusive sneak peek of The Mandalorian season three. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, and more of the show’s stars introduced the newest trailer. (At the time of writing, the trailer isn’t available online … yet.) Looks like we’re finally headed to Mandalore in February 2023!

Jude Law will star in an upcoming Disney+ series, Skeleton Crew. Set within The Mandalorian timeline, the new show will follow the (mis?)adventures of a group of kids lost in the Star Wars galaxy and are trying to find their way home. Internally, the new show is being compared to The Goonies and Stranger Things, but set in that familiar galaxy far, far away.

The Bad Batch Season 2

Coming to Disney+ in fall 2022, The Bad Batch returns for its second season. Looks like there’s been a bit of a time jump between seasons one and two. And is that a Wookiee Jedi in the trailer?

More Disney+ News From Star Wars Celebration Anaheim …

… A six-part documentary series all about Lucasfilm’s special effects division, Industrial Light & Magic. It premiers July 27, 2022.

… A new series of CGI animated shorts called Tales of the Jedi. The show follows young Ahsoka and Count Dooku.
