Have you ever dreamed of dancing with your favorite Disney characters? I mean who wouldn’t want to boogie with Goofy, right? Well now thanks to the magic of Disney you dance with Disney characters anytime you want when you visit the Magic Kingdom!
It’s a great way to get the whole family moving around after sitting on all those rides and long monorail or bus trips!
Magic Kingdom dance parties were once just a part of hard ticketed events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, where at least two dance parties were held each night (usually one in Tomorrowland at the Rockettower Plaza Stage and one in Frontierland at the Diamond Horseshoe). Their popularity with guests led to a demand for dance parties every day!
Now you can cut a rug with some of your favorites any time you want! On select days and at select times you now boogie along with The Incredibles and Mr. Spin, the dynamic DJ as they celebrate their latest victory at the #INCREDIBLESsuperdanceparty during the evenings in Tomorrowland!
The Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party may be more parade than dance party but that doesn’t mean you can’t groove along to the beat while enjoying the show. Join the jubilant crowds as this celebration erupts at Castle forecourt, you might even learn some new dance steps while getting into the fun!

But, don’t worry – event though the dance parties have become an every day part of Magic Kingdom life, you still can dance the night away at your favorite Halloween and Christmas time parties. In fact, new this year to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is Club Villain, a nightly character dance party where guests will have the opportunity to dance along side some of the favorite Disney villains!
And if you’re attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party this year, don’t miss Totally Tomorrowland Christmas, a holiday themed dance party featuring Stitch, Buzz Lightyear, and Mike Wazowski!
The best thing about these dance parties is that everyone in the family can join in, it doesn’t matter your age or your dance ability. These dance parties make great memories, I know for a fact I’ll always remember the time I got to see my mom dance around and be silly with Pluto, her all time favorite Disney character. I don’t think I have ever seen her happier.
So if you’re walking around Magic Kingdom and you happen to hear a beat, take a few minutes and just go dance – the line for Space Mountain will still be there when you get done!
