We’ve rounded up all the live entertainment returning to Disney World in 2022. Things are about to feel like normal again!

Many live entertainment shows at Walt Disney World have been on hold for what seems like forever, but now we know that a handful will reopen in 2022.

The COVID-19 pandemic really put a damper on our ability to see live entertainment at Walt Disney World Resort as many were put on hold. While some have reopened this year, others are still on hiatus.

But now, Disney has announced a whole host of returning shows to Disney World in 2022. Let’s dive right in.

New and Returning Live Entertainment in 2022

If your favorite show is still on pause, you may be excited to learn it’s coming back in 2022. Here’s a look at the live entertainment returning to WDW in 2022.

Finding Nemo — The Musical (Kind Of)

After much anticipation, Animal Kingdom’s Finding Nemo-themed musical is returning to Disney World in 2022. But there’s one catch (and no, that’s not a fishing joke).

The musical has been revamped to include the story of Finding Dory. It’ll be called “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!”

You can catch it at Animal Kingdom’s Theater in the Wild, date TBD.

After a long hiatus, Fantasmic! will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios next year. But now, it’ll be better than ever! Disney Parks Blog reports that the show will feature an all-new sequence with live performers, stunts, special effects, and more.

Another show returning in 2022 is Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire. This time, it’ll feature a new opening and finale, though the scenes you remember from Frozen, Tangled, and The Princess and the Frog will still be there. The reopened show will also have a brand-new song called “Where the Magic Feels Like Home.”

The previous iteration of this castle stage show was called Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire.

For the 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, you can catch several live performances from the DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series. Performers will include Arielle and Adam Jacobs from Aladdin, Kerry Butler from Beauty and the Beast, and Heidi Blickenstaff from Freaky Friday and The Little Mermaid.

Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade

The new Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will debut in 2022, featuring beloved characters like Nick and Judy from Zootopia, Baloo and King Louie from The Jungle Book, Miguel from Coco, Merida from Brave, and many more.

Festival of Fantasy Parade

Early 2022 will see the return of the “Festival of Fantasy” Parade to Magic Kingdom Park. You’ll see plenty of your favorite characters, and Mickey and Minnie themselves will preside over a carnival of color. It’ll be a spectacle not to be missed!

Current Live Entertainment at Disney World

In addition to new and returning shows, several other forms of live entertainment at Disney World have already come back or are slated to later this year.

Disney Enchantment, Harmonious, and KiteTails

On Oct. 1, 2021, the Disney Enchantment fireworks spectacular debuted at Magic Kingdom in celebration of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.

You can also catch the new Harmonious fireworks show at EPCOT and the KiteTails spectacular at Animal Kingdom (no fireworks here because animals).
