Here’s your round-up of June 2022 Disney World refurbishments for closed attractions and resorts.
If you’re planning on visiting Walt Disney World (WDW) in June, you’ll want to know what isn’t going to be up and running during your trip.
But you won’t have to guess what’ll be open and temporarily closed in June! Each month, we compile a list of everything scheduled to undergo refurbishment in the month ahead.
In June, we’re right in the thick of the 2022 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, so it’s a great time to stop and smell the roses. With a very light refurb schedule, it’s also just a great time to be at WDW.
Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Railroad: Vehicle testing is still going on at TRON Lightcycle / Run, so it’s still possible if not likely that the WDW Railroad will be back by the end of the year.
The Chapeau: The Chapeau is still closed and will remain so for the rest of 2022. Until it reopens, Box Office Gifts at the Town Square Theater is where you’ll find those iconic mouse ears and Bonjour! Village Gifts is your destination for artwork and other commemorative souvenirs.

Festival of the Lion King: A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King, which opened last May, sees its final performance on July 4, so get it in while you can. After a short closure from July 5–15, the Festival of the Lion King experience reopens at last.

June 2022 Disney World Refurbishments
Rides close often for regular service and maintenance, so any unexpected closures will likely only last for a short while. If nothing else, it’s just another excuse to come back and experience the magic again.
