If you can’t wait to experience the new Journey of Water attraction at EPCOT, the wait is almost over!

Moana is making her way to EPCOT – the Moana-inspired Journey of Water finally has an opening date, and it’s just a few short weeks away. Disney has announced that Journey of Water will open on October 16, 2023.

The new walkthrough attraction located in the new World Nature neighborhood will welcome Guests to splash and explore water with touches inspired by the beloved film Moana. Featuring magical water interactions just like Moana’s, you’ll be able to make a wave of your own as you experience this playful new area.

Journey of Water will be self-guided, so you can take your time (and get as wet as you’d like!) wandering through the lush, landscaped trails. All of the theming is inspired by Moana’s tropical home, from the intricate rock formations to the blooming greenery. As you explore, you’ll learn about the water cycle and water as a precious natural resource. And you’ll want to keep an eye out for touches that reference some of Moana’s friends, including Hei Hei and Pua!

Oh, and you don’t want to miss one more exciting experience coming to Journey of Water: Moana herself! Starting on October 16, you’ll be able to meet Moana in EPCOT in a new dedicated meet and greet area across from this attraction.
