January is the start of a brand new year for us all, and WDW is no exception!  Did you know that some of the most iconic shows in WDW history opened in January?

At the Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress debuted on January 15, 1975 and has been spinning forward to a great big beautiful tomorrow ever since!

Illuminations: Reflections of Earth debuted on January 30 1988 – it’s been lighting up the night sky in Epcot for nearly 30 years!

On January 7, 1992, the curtain lifted on the first show of Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing Ariel and all her friends to be part of our world.

And on January 24, 2007, Finding Nemo – the Musical arrived at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, showing us all how to go with the flow!
