On Tuesday, Disney announced that Entertainment Cast Members will return in droves to the four theme parks in WDW Resort this fall. And with the start of The World’s Most Magical Celebration this past Friday, it’s already begun.
If you visit Magic Kingdom early in the day, you’ll be greeted by the familiar sounds of “Let the Magic Begin” on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage. Down Main Street, U.S.A., Casey’s Corner is once again home to jangly ragtime piano.
EPCOT is happening, too, with live performances making a comeback at the World Showcase. You’ll find Alberta Bound in Canada, Sergio in Italy, and Matsuriza’s Takio drummers in Japan.
And there’s more coming, too. Next week, Animal Kingdom will see the return of Chakranad in Asia and Kora Tinga Tinga back at it again at Harambe. And next month, the Tam Tam Drummers are beating their way back at long last.
Starting Oct. 14 at the Boardwalk Resort, one Yeehaw Bob will resume his routine at the River Roost Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. You can expect to see plenty of live performances all along the waterfront, too.

Because there is still very much a pandemic going on, the time isn’t quite right for Disney Characters to resume free hugs and autographs for the masses. But Walt Disney World Resort is building back up to it with the option for private character experiences with your favorite characters.
These experiences, starting in November, will allow you to visit a themed location and take a safe photo with some of your favorite characters. This includes
- Disney Princesses at Magic Kingdom’s Princess Fairytale Hall
- Minnie Mouse at Hollywood Studios’ Red Carpet Dreams
- Disney Junior stars at Hollywood Studios’ Animation Courtyard
- Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater on Main Street, U.S.A.
And of course, all your faves will keep appearing throughout the resort in cavalcades, flotillas, motorcades, and impromptu appearances.
