We’re sharing everything you need to know about Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the newest Disney Vacation Club property at Walt Disney World Resort.
It’s been an exciting year for new places to stay at Walt Disney World! In the summer of 2024, Disney Vacation Club opened their new Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, with updated accommodations for up to six people. And now, guests can enjoy a stay at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Island Tower Overview
Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a 10-story tower with 268 rooms. As a Disney Vacation Club property, the accommodations are intended to give guests a home away from home, with helpful amenities such as kitchens or kitchenettes, paired with stunning views of Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Oak Trail and Magnolia Golf Courses.

The tower was designed with inspiration from Polynesian heritage, with artwork throughout highlighting artists from around the world.
Island Tower Room Types
There are five different room types you can enjoy at Island Tower, including a brand new villa type that has never been seen before at a Disney Vacation Club property.
- Duo Studios (sleep up to two): Features a pull-down bed that can be stored away for more space. Includes an outdoor patio, kitchenette, and Moana theming.
- Deluxe Studios (sleep up to four): Features a Queen bed and pull-down bed. Comes with an outdoor patio, and a kitchenette with a dishwasher.
- One-Bedroom Villas (sleep up to five): Comes with a separate living area and bedroom, two bathrooms, and outdoor patio, full kitchen, washer and dryer.
- Two-Bedroom Villas (sleep up to nine): Comes with a living area, two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and outdoor patio.
- Two-Bedroom Penthouse Villas (sleep up to eight): Features two bedrooms, full kitchen, large living area, multiple outdoor patios, washer and dryer, and incredible views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom, or Disney’s Oak Trail and Magnolia Golf Courses.

There’s a focus on sustainable design for the Island Tower, with several features within the guest rooms contributing to Disney’s 2030 environmental goals. One example of this is in the first-ever dishwashers in the tower’s studios, which help to minimize the waste of single-use dishware. Additionally, the rugs and carpets inside the guest rooms are mostly recycled plastic bottles woven into fine yarn.
Wailulu Bar & Grill
Island Tower is home to a brand new dining location with Wailulu Bar & Grill. Wailulul gets its name from the Hawaiian words “wai” and “lulu,” meaning water and calm, respectively. The restaurant offers views of Seven Seas Lagoon, with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar space with views of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom. Guests can dine at the casual walk-up pool bar, with an all-day lunch and dinner menu influenced by the Polynesian Islands’ local and indigenous ingredients. Plus, specialty coffee and on-the-go pastries are available in the morning.

The dining room features Poynesian-inspired artwork, created exclusively for the space. There is also an abstract Polynesian Stick Chart, an ancient navigation tool used to traverse the seas. Plus, you’ll find a painting on display featuring none other than Moana!

- Pineapple-coconut bread (available for breakfast only)
- Sweet Potato Hummus,crispy chickpeas, espelette pepper dust, and breadfruit tostones
- Ahi Tuna Crisps: Marinated ahi tuna, crispy fried wontons, avocado crema, sriracha-aioli, and soy glaze
- Grilled Shrimp, smoked paprika, black garlic emulsion, garlic-lemon butter, and crispy garlic
- Spiced Ham Musubi with glazed spam seasoned with traditional furikake and served with crispy rice pearls
- Crispy Chicken Wings: Adobo-marinated, soy glaze, and tomato-fresno pepper relish
- Wayfinder Burger: Two pressed patties, American cheese, onion jam, volcano sauce, and sweet bun served with mac salad or sweet potato fries
- Beef Short Rib Loco Moco: Shiitake mushroom gravy, crispy rice cake, and fried egg
- Grilled Fish of the Day: Green curry broth, jasmine rice, chickpeas, and sweet potato
- Poke Bowl: Sushi-style rice, pickled cucumbers, vegetables, spicy poke sauce, and macadamia nuts with choice of ahi tuna, grilled teriyaki chicken, or grilled tofu
- Chow Mein Salad: Charred cabbage, shishito peppers, hearts of palm, pickled sweet potato, and sunflower butter dressing with choice of sauteed shrimp, grilled teriyaki chicken, or grilled tofu
- Sticky Pork Ribs, salt-cured green cabbage, jicama slaw, and pineapple chips

- White Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese
- Grilled Teriyaki Chicken
Desserts
- DOLE Whip Sundae with hibiscus meringue and passion fruit crispies
- Chocolate Cake with salted caramel ganache and Chantilly cream infused with the essence of Kona coffee

- Hibiscus Tea: Hibiscus flower-infused tea with lime and agave nectar (Non-alcoholic beverage)
- Kula Strawberry Sake: Wildflowers Junmai Sake, Campari Liqueur, Rockey’s Botanical Liqueur, and wild strawberry
- Passionfruit and Pineapple Daiquiri: Ten to One Caribbean White Rum, Minute Maid Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice, pineapple, and lime
- Pandan Gin Gin Mule: Pandan-infused Fords Gin, lime juice, and ginger beer
Moana Splash Area and Pool
Speaking of Moana, younger guests will enjoy Moana’s Voyage, a new splash area with life-size sculptures of Moana and her canoe, along with fountains and playful sprayers.

There is also Cove Pool, a new zero-entry pool available to both Disney Vacation Club members and guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Four Terrace Gardens
Island Tower guests and DVC members will also get exclusive access to something particularly unique: four tropical terrace gardens. Each terrace garden is home to vibrant artwork, foliage, and uniquely themed seating.
