Get ready to return to the mind of Riley! On June 24, 2024, the highly-anticipated sequel to Pixar’s Inside Out will be coming to theaters. The first film centered on 11-year-old Riley, and the five emotions in her brain”: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear. Now, we have our first look at what these characters are up to in the new Inside Out 2 trailer.

Inside Out 2 will catch up with the characters of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear, voiced by Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Liza Lapira, and Tony Hale, respectively. In the first trailer for the film, we’re introduced to a new emotion: Anxiety (voiced by Maya Hawke). And from the sound of things, we’ll have more emotions to contend with as well! While many of the voice actors are returning for the sequel, the notable exceptions are Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling, who voiced Fear and Disgust in the first movie. Now, those roles will be taken on by Hale and Lapira.

The film was directed by Kelsey Mann, with Meg LeFauve (who co-wrote the first film) writing. While not much information has been released about the film, it will follow Riley as she discovers “new emotions.”

Inside Out 2 will be coming to theaters on June 24, 2024.
