How to Use Mobile Dine Waitlist at Disney World

by | Aug 27, 2020 | Walt Disney World News, WDW Blog

This month, Disney rolled out a new feature on the My Disney Experience app: a Mobile Dine Waitlist for select resort restaurants! Now, they’ve added even more favorite dining locations to the list.

The Mobile Dine Waitlist is a contactless way to find out if a restaurant has walk-up seating available. So you can easily check if you can get a seat at your favorite dining spot without an Advanced Dining Reservation!

How To Use The Mobile Dine Waitlist

Using the Mobile Dine Waitlist is a really easy process.

Just open up the Walt Disney World app, click on the plus sign on the bottom middle, and a few options will pop up. Select “Check Dining Availability.”

Add your party size and the date you want to look for, and then pick what time you’re trying to get.

A list of restaurants near you will pop up, if there are any.

If not, you can see a list of other restaurants available. Underneath, the app will tell you if there is any seating available.

If there is seating, there will be a wait time and a prompt to move closer to the restaurant’s location to check in.

Available Restaurants

Right now, only select resort restaurants are eligible for the Mobile Dine Waitlist.

  • Ale & Compass Restaurant
  • Beaches & Cream Soda Shop
  • Grand Floridian Cafe
  • Kona Cafe
  • Olivia’s Cafe
  • Sanaa
  • Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera
  • Trattoria al Forno
  • Whispering Canyon Cafe

Plus, three brand new ones were just added, all from Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

  • California Grill
  • Chef Mickey’s
  • The Wave… of American Flavors

This new system is a great way to snag a last minute seat at your favorite restaurant. It makes the process even simpler, plus contact-free, which is ideal during the pandemic.

If your favorite place to eat isn’t on the app, be sure and go check with a Cast Member. They can help you find out if there’s walk-up seating available.

I hope they keep this feature after the pandemic is over and continue adding more dining locations to the list!
