Where to Find the Sanderson Sisters

The meet and greet location is in the Hollywood Studios Backlot area near the Hollywood Lounge and Monsters Inc., attraction.

There is a roped-off area right in front of the meet and greet. Some guests start to crowd in this area as early as 3:00 p.m. for the opportunity to be one of the first in line when Cast Members open the queue at 5:00 p.m.

Here’s When They Come Out

Minnie and her fellow witchy sisters do not come out until exactly 6:00 p.m.

Once the party begins guests without wristbands are asked to leave the park or pick up their bands to attend the Bash. You must show your event wristband in order to join the line and meet the characters.

Plan for the Lighting

The lighting in the area is dark- especially if you are joining the queue after sunset. The lighting sets the mood for the Halloween season, but getting the picture-perfect shot can be challenging. Bring a portable ring light or use a flash as needed to boost the brightness for your magical shot.

Best Time to Visit

A Cast Member told me the best time to join the meet-and-greet line is during the first parade. When I arrived at the party at 5:00 p.m., the line to meet the sisters was already 2 hours long.

I decided to come back during the first parade and the wait was only 25 minutes. The line continuously moved so it didn’t feel like I waited that long. The best advice I have is to go at the beginning of the first parade- at the end of the parade, people will rush to the character lines and the wait will go up.

If you decide to wait in the queue and there is a long wait, I would suggest grabbing a snack to eat in line. At the Bash you have very little time to sit and eat so you can use this time to fuel up for the night ahead!

Know Before You Go

Sanderson Sisters Oogie Boogie Bash Character Greeting Lee

  • Disney Photopass is included with your event ticket. Show your wristband to the photographer after you take your photos and link them to your Disney mobile app in order to download and save your photos.
  • Sometimes Minnie and her ‘sisters’ do not stand together for this Photopass meeting, they have three individual sections you will go to each section to meet them one after the other.
  • The characters do take breaks periodically throughout the night. When I lined up for the meet-and-greet, there were only two sisters available to meet (Minnie dressed up as Winnifred Sanderson and Clarabelle as Mary). Daisy Duck was off running “amok, amok, amok”!

Oogie Boogie Bash is such a spooktacular experience complete with some tricks and a whole lot of treats.

As a Disney-loving adult, who grew up loving Hocus Pocus, I had a fun time interacting with these characters. It made my childhood dreams come true! If you’re lucky enough to catch the Sanderson Sisters, watch out, Minnie may put a spell on you.
