Picnics, parades, and pixie dust! We figured out how to have a romantic date night at Disney’s Magic Kingdom while keeping it budget-friendly.
Can you feel the love tonight? If so, you needn’t look further than Magic Kingdom. While it may famously be a favorite spot for families, it’s subtly one of the most romantic places to take your significant other.
Unfortunately, Walt Disney World is also famous for the hefty price tag attached to its magic. Not to worry: We figured out how to make the most out of your Magic Kingdom date night after you’ve secured your park ticket.
Mad About Main Street

First things first, as soon as you enter the park, head straight to Guest Relations in City Hall. Once there, ask for a Celebration Button.
Not only are they complementary, but they often draw extra attention from Cast Members. Most of them will be sure to wish you a wonderful day and occasionally even offer you a treat “on the mouse”—code words for “it’s free!” It’s a unique and costless souvenir to remember your special date.
If you get your timing right, you can head back out to Main Street, U.S.A., and enjoy a serenade, courtesy of the Dapper Dans. This vibrant barbershop quartet sings, plays the Deagan Organ Chimes, and jokes around with vaudeville-style humor. What better way to kick off your date than with a little concert and a lot of laughs?
A Perfect Picnic

Did you know guests can bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages into the parks? As long as your items meet the specific conditions, such as not being in glass containers, they are fair game.
The best part is that this allows you to pack sweets and treats unique to you and yours, but you will also save ample ride-time otherwise spent waiting in Mobile Order pickup lines.
We recommend staking your place in the gated, grassy area in front of Cinderella’s Castle—also known as “the Hub.” Sit back and relax while enjoying a romantic picnic and people-watch in a spot fit for royalty.
Long Walks on the Street

Who needs a long walk on the beach when you can see your favorite Disney couples take a long walk down the street? We’re talking parades, baby!
World-famous cavalcades march from Frontierland through Liberty Square and finally down Main Street, U.S.A. Get inspired by famous Disney darlings such as Mickey & Minnie and Donald & Daisy while listening to lively music that’ll make you want to dance with your partner.
And just in time: Festival of Fantasy is finally back! This is the best daytime parade at Magic Kingdom.

Afterward, make your way through Cinderella Castle and head to Sir Mickey’s. Here, you can enjoy the little-known (and free!) experience of requesting a sprinkling of pixie dust.
This adorable ritual not only leaves you with a little sparkle but encourages you to make a wish during the process. And I think we all know that if your heart is in your dream, no request is too extreme. It just takes a little faith, trust, and … what’s that last part again?
A Royal Engagement

Depending on your wish, you may immediately be able to make it come true when you head over to the oldest attraction in Walt Disney World, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. This beloved attraction resides in Fantasyland and is comprised of 90 wood-carved horses.
However, seeing as this is not like every other trip to Magic Kingdom, you can really make your date extraordinary by snagging the one intricately-carved chariot. A chariot ride in front of a castle with your other half? It doesn’t get more “quintessential fairytale” than that!
See Fireworks

End the night literally and figuratively by seeing fireworks. Disney Enchantment is a brand-new nighttime spectacular that celebrates magic and joy for all the dreamers out there.
There is nothing like leaning on your sweetheart and watching in awe while fireworks light up the night’s sky. Just be sure to snag your spot early, as prime viewing locations can fill up fast.

As you can see, a Disney date can be incredibly affordable if you plan ahead and keep these little tips and tricks in your back pocket. Unlike your wallet, which you won’t be needing.
Just do things you wouldn’t normally do in the park, incorporate your love of Disney with your real-life love, and stop and smell the roses (or popcorn cart, whichever you prefer!), and we are confident you will have a romantic date night at Magic Kingdom without breaking your budget.
