Each year, Disney California Adventure transforms into one seriously spooky destination.  … If you’re a fan of Halloween and all things Disney, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to dress up in costume (yes, adults can get in on the fun, too!) and enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the park, special seasonal photo opportunities, entertainment, and so much more. But you’ll want to act well before Halloween arrives, because Oogie Boogie Bash tickets are always in high demand!

Oogie Boogie Bash is held only select nights each year during the fall. For 2026, Oogie Boogie Bash will be offered on 33 select nights between August 18 and October 31, making it one of the biggest Halloween party seasons Disneyland Resort has ever offered.

But it’s not just another day at Disney California Adventure; it’s a special ticketed event that requires a separate purchase from your single- or multi-day park tickets. So, how can you get tickets? Here’s everything you need to know about purchasing Oogie Boogie Bash tickets.

When Do Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets Go On Sale?

Each year, you can expect tickets for the annual slate of Oogie Boogie Bash events to go on sale in June or July. The exact date varies, but it’s common for Disney to announce the year’s Oogie Boogie Bash dates at the “halfway to Halloween” mark – a celebration that takes place exactly halfway through the year to October 31.

Once the Oogie Boogie Bash dates have been revealed, you can then expect ticket sale dates to come shortly after. For the 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash, tickets will go on sale for Magic Key holders on June 24 (for Inspire passholders) and June 25 (for all Magic Key passholders). Tickets for the general public will be available on June 26, 2025.

Regardless of what happens, it’s always a good idea to keep an eye out for an official on-sale announcement come late June or early July! And when the date does arrive, you can expect tickets to be released via virtual queue around 9 AM Pacific time. 

How to Buy Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets

In order to purchase tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash, you’ll need to be ready to hop online! Tickets are sold via the Disneyland website and the Disneyland app. Just navigate to the Parks & Tickets tab online, and you’ll find this Halloween event under “Special Event Tickets.”

However, it’s important to note that because Oogie Boogie Bash is a popular special event, tickets often sell out quickly. So, to help temper demand, Disney will typically use a virtual queue to ensure Guests get a chance to nab their tickets for their desired party date.

On the on-sale date, the virtual ticket queue for Oogie Boogie Bash opens at 9 AM. So be ready right at 9 Pacific time to make sure you can enter the queue! 

Are you a Magic Key holder? Typically, Disney will offer Magic Key holders the chance to purchase Oogie Boogie Bash tickets a few days before the general public. For 2026, Inspire Magic Key holders receive access beginning June 16, while all Magic Key holders can purchase tickets beginning June 17, before sales open to the general public on June 18.

A special Oogie Boogie Bash event reserved for D23 Members will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, with tickets going on sale through D23 on June 16, 2026.

What to Expect When the Virtual Queue Opens for Ticket Sales

Ready to snag some tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash? Well, you’ll have to wait a bit. Disney employs its virtual queue for this special event, meaning you could find yourself waiting anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. 

When ticket sales open, you’ll be automatically placed into the virtual queue. Your “spot” in the queue is randomly assigned, so it’s truly a toss up as to how long your wait will be to purchase your tickets. It could be just a few minutes, or it could be an hour – or longer.

Try the Disneyland App Instead of a Computer

If you’re frustrated by the virtual ticket queue, you might have better luck using the Disneyland app! Some Guests reported shorter wait times when Oogie Boogie Bash tickets went on sale via the Disneyland app.

Using the app may potentially help you avoid problems, too. When the virtual queue encountered difficulties for 2023 ticket sales, some Guests were able to circumvent those problems entirely and successfully used the app to make a purchase. Give it a try if you’re having issues on another browser!

Want to try the app but don’t want to give up your spot in the queue? Just try opening a tab on your laptop or desktop and going through the Disneyland app on your phone! 

Don’t Wait Around Before the Queue Opens

While it might seem like a smart idea to join the virtual queue before the sale officially begins at 9 AM, there’s no need to do so. Everyone who joins the queue for Oogie Boogie Bash tickets is randomly assigned a spot – and a wait time. So, being on the ticket page early doesn’t offer you any advantage. Skip the extra wait and join the queue no earlier than the listed wait time.

Have a Backup Date in Mind

Since Oogie Boogie Bash dates are often released in advance of tickets being sold, it’s easy to choose the date you’d like to attend early. However, it’s important to pick not just one date you’re interested in. It’s a good idea to have a backup or two.

Oogie Boogie Bash dates can sell out quickly, and it’s tough to tell which will be the first to disappear off the availability calendar. Typically, you can expect Halloween (if a party is being held on that day) and the dates closest to Halloween to be the most in-demand – and the most likely to sell out. Weekend dates, if available, also tend to be very popular. But it can be somewhat random, and sometimes dates that don’t seem likely to sell out do!

So, to save time once you’re able to purchase tickets, you’ll want to have a preferred date plus an alternate or two in mind. That way, you can easily and quickly choose your date without missing out on that short 10-minute purchase window. 

Get All of Your Information Ready Before Buying

Lastly, while you’re waiting for your chance to snag tickets in the virtual queue, it’s always a good idea to get your information ready. You don’t know if your wait will be hours long or just a few minutes (and sometimes, that timeframe can randomly speed up!), and you want to be ready to complete your purchase while you have the chance. When buying tickets, you’ll need to know:

• The date or dates you’re interested in
• The number of tickets you need (everyone ages 3 years and up needs a ticket)
• The names of those who’ll be using the tickets
• Your credit card information

To speed up the process, you can add your credit card information to your Disney profile in advance, if you already have an account. And while you can add the names of your fellow Guests to the tickets after checkout, it’s a quick and easy step to complete if you’re ready to do so while checking out.
