by | Oct 24, 2023 | Disney Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line Food

A new Haunted Mansion Parlor is coming to the Disney Treasure, the seventh cruise ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

Earlier this year, Disney revealed new details on the newest member of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. the Disney Treasure. The Disney Treasure will be another Triton-class ship joining the fleet, similar to the Disney Wish which was the sixth ship to set sail for Disney Cruise Line. The Disney Treasure and Disney Wish will be similar in class, size, and layout, but have plenty of differences!

For example, we’ve learned that the Disney Treasure will include brand-news spots such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Jungle Cruise-inspired bars that you won’t find anywhere else. And now, we know the theme behind another haunting new spot that will be coming to the ship — a new Haunted Mansion Parlor

Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Treasure

Grim grinning ghosts will be out to socialize on the Disney Treasure at the new Haunted Mansion Parlor! Fans of the ghostly Disney Parks attraction will simply die for this brand-new bar inspired by the ride. The new venue will feature themed cocktails and merchandise, as well as the chance to spot iconic characters from Haunted Mansion attractions at Disney Parks around the world.

The story of the venue will focus on a “jovial captain” who entered the ghostly realm who “entered the ghostly realm after a disastrous dinner with his beloved fiancé.” The experience will feature a custom musical arrangement inspired by the attraction’s original score, arranged and adapted by composer Shruti Kumar. Disney also teased that Walt Disney Imagineering “will set the stage for an ever-escalating anthology of illusions that immerses guests into the mysterious lore of the Haunted Mansion.”

Design of Venue

As part of the experience, you can expect to spot characters from the Haunted Mansion attractions, along with new original characters created for the Disney Treasure. The venue’s aesthetic is inspired by the art style of the original 1969 attraction at Disneyland and will bring to life the macabre humor that fans of the ride love so much.

The design of the Haunted Mansion Parlor is inspired by a first-class drawing room from cruise liners of the golden age, bringing a “nautical twist” to the Haunted Mansion. You’ll find plenty of callbacks to the in-park attractions, though, including the iconic purple wallpaper and a distinctive purple armchair! There will also be a portrait gallery that depicts some of the Disney Treasure’s ghost residents.

Specialty Cocktails

The bar will feature a variety of themed cocktails you can enjoy inspired by the Haunted Mansion. There will be cocktails, mocktails, and other drinks with interesting flavors and a spooky twist for Guests of all ages to enjoy!

A few menu items that Disney has teased include:

  • Sympathetic Libations: Blood orange and sour cheery flavors harmonize in a zero-proof cocktail served in a specialty mug.
  • Ghoulish Delight: The non-alcoholic drink incorporates ube fudge, oat milk, and tapioca pearls in a purple concoction garnished with a gummy eyeball and ube glitter.
  • While not named, Disney also shared that the bar will have a drink that’s a “spooky twist on a classic margarita.” The signature cocktail will be presented to guests with a swirl of flavored smoke and topped with lemon salt foam. The tequila-based cocktail will also contain a secret message only revealed by black light!

Haunted Mansion Parlor Merchandise

There will also be plenty of Haunted Mansion Parlor merchandise to take home from your journey! This will include a Haunted Mansion Parlor Music Box, a keepsake music box that will “play a melodic soundtrack” inside the bar. Rumors say this music box once belonged to the captain’s bride-to-be, and will only open in the presence of malevolent spirits. There’s also the Haunted Mansion Parlor Mantle Clock, inspired by the one you’ll find in the parlor. Mysterious things happen when the venue’s clock strikes 13!
