Here’s the scoop on ten things you can do for free at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival this year.

You still need proper theme park admission in order to take advantage of these freebies, so they technically aren’t free in the traditional sense. However, this is a list of things you can do at Epcot Food & Wine without having to spend any additional money at the park.

1. Epcot Food & Wine Photo Spots

Throughout the park, keep an eye out for special décor and photo spots! Usually there is a Photopass photographer stationed in front of these designated spots. If you already have a Memory Maker or Platinum Pass, then your Photopass photos are free to download. If you don’t have a Memory Maker or Platinum Pass, no problem! Just ask the Photopass photographer to take a photo with your personal camera or phone.

2. Family Play Zone Playground

If you have little ones, you’ll want to check out the Family Play Zone playground! This is a great place to let children release some energy while Mom and Dad relax on the nearby lounge chairs. You can find this fun spot on the lawn behind Mouse Gear.

The next two things we’re going to talk about take place in the Festival Center, which is located in between Mission Space and what used to be The Universe of Energy.

3. Brewing the Perfect Cup

Watch a special video presentation by Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co., the Official Specialty Coffee of Walt Disney World. “Brewing the Perfect Cup from the Grounds Up” will teach you all about the incredible journey of the coffee bean and how it grows and transforms into your favorite morning cup o’ joe.  If you’d like, you can purchase select coffees from Joffrey’s Specialty Disney Coffee Collection.

4. From the Bean to the Bar

Another special exhibit in the Festival Center is “The Chocolate Experience: From the Bean to the Bar”, brought to you by Ghiradelli. Here you’ll see these amazing chocolate sculptures featuring some of your favorite Disney characters. Not only are these sculptures extremely impressive, you might even receive a free Ghiradelli chocolate sample when you enter!

5. Candy Sushi Workshop

Visit Sunshine Seasons for a complimentary family-friendly culinary workshop! All reservations are currently booked, however there is a stand-by line that will allow additional guests to participate if possible. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create sushi-inspired candy using rice cereal treats, gummy candy, and more!

6. Annual Passholder Magnet

This next freebie is for Annual Passholders. Visit the Festival Center to pick up your free Passholder magnet. If you visit Epcot Food & Wine four times before the end of the festival, you’ll receive a free Passholder cutting board!

7. Festival Passport Stickers

Of course, the main reason guests enjoy Epcot Food & Wine is to eat their way around World Showcase. If you’re on a budget, that can be very difficult since there are so many food booths and the cost can add up quick. In previous years, each booth would provide a stamp in your Festival Passport once you’ve purchased an item. Disney has since switched to a sticker system. Now, even if you don’t purchase any food items, you can still document your journey around World Showcase!

8. Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak

One of the most popular games to play at Epcot Food & Wine is Remy’s “Ratatouille” Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt. You can choose to purchase the official map, which can be redeemed for a prize with the correct answers, OR you could simply search for Remy on your own as you journey through World Showcase. This is a great game for kids with or without purchasing the map!

9. Club Cool

Club Cool isn’t exclusive to Epcot Food & Wine, but it’s free so it makes the list! Here you can try free samples of sodas from around the world. I stop here on every Epcot visit to grab a sample of the Pineapple Fanta. Seasoned park-goers will tell you to try the Beverly. I’ll let you decide if it’s a good idea to trust them or not.

10. Eat to the Beat Concerts

Our final freebie is one of my personal favorites: The Eat to the Beat Concert Series! These concerts take place at the American Gardens Theatre and are included in your admission to Epcot Food & Wine. This year’s lineup includes a variety of classic and contemporary bands, including pop, country, R&B and more! Click here for the full schedule.

Year after year, my favorite thing to do at Epcot Food & Wine is the concerts. Whether I’m sitting in the front row taking photos or dancing in the back with my friends, it’s always a good time!

What freebie are YOU looking forward to most this year?
