The Disney Frozen Podcast is coming soon – and it’s an exciting new venture with new stories, new characters, and a new media you’ll love.
Frozen is undeniably one of the most beloved Disney movies, as kids (and kids at heart!) have fallen in love with its story, its characters, and its magical music since it first appeared in theaters 10 years ago in 2013. And if you’re someone who can’t get enough of this incredible animated film, we’ve got amazing news: Disney is releasing an all-new Frozen inspired podcast!
The Disney Frozen Podcast is an exciting new audio-first collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios and ABC Audio. This first-of-its-kind podcast will be presented by Macy’s, and it’s an original venture that extends the storytelling of Frozen in an audio format.
However, the Disney Frozen Podcast won’t simply feature the same stories centered around Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and the other characters you already know and love. This exciting venture will feature all new characters and an original, standalone adventure that takes place after the events of Frozen 2.
“For almost a decade, Disney Publishing has journeyed through Arendelle with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf – from storybook collections to middle grade adventure stories,” Lynn Waggoner, Vice President of Global Publishing, Franchise Content, and Creative said in a press release. “We are excited to continue telling new stories in this world through this spell-binding audio-first offering. The Disney Frozen Podcast is an expansive endeavor made possible through deep collaboration with creative teams across our company, setting a new standard for engaging kids podcasting content.”
Additionally, you can expect the Disney Frozen Podcast to expand on the epic adventures of the Frozen film franchise, while also continuing the themes of the power of love and family. The stories of the podcast will include themes like self-discovery, magical connections, curiosity, and even forgiveness. It’ll be a thrilling listen for fans of all ages, too!
Discover What’s In Store for the Disney Frozen Podcast
When the Disney Frozen Podcast premieres this October, the first season will be Forces of Nature. Disney has shared a preview of the storyline for listeners, so below, we’re sharing a sample of what you can expect when you tune in!
The podcast will dive in with Queen Anna and all that’s on her plate, from visitors in the kingdom to friends in need to the Duke of Weselton’s nephew hanging around. At the same time, the Spirits of Nature begin acting up, creating a problem that Anna must solve. Together with her sister Elsa, Anna travels to the Enchanted Forest and finds mysterious copper machines that are interrupting the natural order – and Anna and Elsa must stop them.

The story will play out over the course of 12 episodes in the first season. Listeners will also be introduced to a few new characters within the world of Arendelle, including Queen Disa, Lord Wolfgang, Astrid, and Magnus. The Disney Frozen Podcast will also feature ABC News’ chief meteorologist, Ginger Zee, as a voice presenter in the season’s episodes. Her voice may be familiar to Frozen fans, as Zee also hosted ABC Audio’s Inside Frozen 2 podcast!

The Disney Frozen Podcast will launch in just a few months! Its first season will be released in October 2023. Once it’s live, you’ll be able to listen to the episodes on your favorite podcast platform, as the podcast will be available across popular apps.
