Keep next summer in mind when planning your next Disney World vacation, because the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve will be open.
The hotly-anticipated addition to the Swan and Dolphin resort hit a construction milestone… the 14th-story construction beam was put into place, marking the completion of the structure’s top floor.
In the construction industry, it is tradition to mark the occasion when the skeleton of a building reaches full height. An American flag and a tree were raised along with the beam in celebration.
The Swan Reserve is Born
And the celebration brought the project’s new name, the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve to life! We finally have a name to fit the new construction.
“As we advanced with the project on construction, marketing and operations, we decided The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve was a better fit,” said the newly appointed area general manager for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Sean Verney. “We feel this name represents the boutique, sophisticated and relaxing ambiance the hotel will provide guests.”
Now the tower is well on its way to welcome guests next summer. If you are visiting Walt Disney World before then, keep your eyes on the construction happening just next to the original Swan and Dolphin buildings.
