Welcome aboard! We’ve got your complete guide to dining at Worlds of Marvel on the Disney Wish. Let’s dig in!
The Disney Wish hasn’t even taken its maiden voyage yet, but we are already drooling with anticipation over the totally unique and reimagined main dining rooms on board. Disney Cruise Line operates a signature “rotational dining” experience, where guests travel to a different restaurant each night of their cruise, while serving staff travels with them for a seamless and magical experience. Of course, it’s Disney so that not only means unique menus and décor but new, immersive stories with each meal.
During a media event celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, we had the chance to talk with Kelly, Manager of Dining Standards for Disney Cruise Line, who was kind enough to give us a sneak peek of the experience dining at Worlds of Marvel on the Disney Wish.
Our advice? Bring a superhero-sized appetite to conquer this interactive dining experience!
The Atmosphere of Worlds of Marvel
Unlike anything we’ve seen in land or sea, this restaurant brings guests into the heart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The room itself is set for a presentation of the latest technologies Pym Tech is testing (you might even get some hands-on experiments to complete to help out), and you can expect a lot of laughs. (The Ant-Man movies are some of my faves in the MCU, you just can’t help but smile all the way through them!)
The glowing blue walls make everything seem super futuristic, and we anticipate video screens akin to those at Animator’s Palate to help tell the immersive story.
Ant-Man and the Wasp will lead the “Avengers: Quantum Encounter” dining experience in this cinematic dining adventure. Captain America and Captain Marvel will join forces with diners to save the day before the meal is over. And you never know who else might show up …
The tables will be set with a white linens with a subtle circuit board print, bold burgundy napkins, silver breadbasket, tall glassware, and low, smoked glass water cups. It looks exactly like the kind of place that Tony Stark would like to dine. My favorite details are a metal charger plate and cutlery stamped with the Avengers signature A.
The most impressive part? A first-of its kind Quantum Core will be on every table. The previewed lighting effects were only a taste of what this device can do! How’s that for a cinematic-level teaser?
The Cast Members at Worlds of Marvel
Cast Members will be dressed in sleek attire that is reminiscent of tactical gear, just like the Avengers might wear! If they ever sold those vests in the on board shops, I’d definitely buy one.
Cast Members are the heart and soul of everything the Walt Disney Company does. Learn more about the heroes of our vacation experiences in our February 2022 issue, all about Cast Member magic! The Food at Worlds of Marvel
Dishes here are inspired by locations in the MCU, so get ready for some serious fusion dining!
Imagine dining on African flavors from Wakanda or your favorite foods from New York City. The dynamic and engaging experience will keep everyone entertained, course after course. This promises to be the most action packed restaurant on board the Disney Wish (1923 and Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure are the other main dining rooms).
Disney Wish Main Dining Rooms
There are three main dining rooms on the Disney Wish. Guests will rotate through all three:
