Get ready for to shop till you drop and snack till you … ask for more! Here’s what you’ll find for Downtown Disney Christmas 2022. Thanksgiving is over and the holiday season has officially arrived. By now, holiday decor has found its way into just about every storefront you pass — and Downtown Disney is no exception! From now until January 8th, Downtown Disney is transformed into a winter wonderland for the entire family. Disneyland’s shopping district is all abuzz with holiday cheer as Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, and Kwanzaa quickly approach. Shoppers are invited to indulge in an array of offerings, including festive eats, spirited sips, unique shopping experiences, live performances, and much more. Want to join the fun? Keep reading to discover the holiday happenings that are waiting for you at Downtown Disney!

Downtown Disney Holiday Food 🍪

Some people love the holidays for the gifts, some look forward to the decor, and a few even anticipate the 24/7 Christmas carols that most lament. If you’re anything like me, you’re more excited about the latkes and sugar cookies you’ll be munching than the presents you’ll be opening.  For festive snack lovers, Downtown Disney boasts 25 seasonal food and drink items scattered throughout the district. While busy shoppers buzz from store to store, you’ll be touring the district for limited-time offerings like Sprinkles’ Gingerbread Cupcake and the Candy Cane-rita from Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen. This year, Disneyland is debuting a selection of seasonal bites under their “Friends of the Festival” event, which extends Disney California Adventure’s Festival of the Holidays into Downtown Disney. Diverse holiday delicacies from cultures across the globe will be served in establishments across the district for the first time ever!

Christmas Shopping at Downtown Disney 🎁

Downtown Disney Christmas 2022 decorations DPB While it may be convenient to shop online during the holiday season, there’s nothing like doing your Christmas shopping in stores. Grabbing a hot chocolate and browsing the racks as holiday music plays overhead is the best way to get in the Christmas spirit! With seventeen diverse shops and a variety of unique kiosks, you’re sure to find a little something for everyone on your gift list at Downtown Disney. Home goods, toys, collectibles, apparel, and much more are offered by merchants like Post 21, the LEGOStore, Sephora, and World of Disney. During your shopping spree, consider picking up a toy or two for the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive supporting Toys for Tots from now until December 12th. Drop off unwrapped toys in person in bins located near Star Wars Trading Post and World of Disney. The whole “shop-til-you-drop” thing is fun and all, but all that gift-hunting is sure to make your feet ache. Take advantage of the limited-time holiday spa treatments being offered at Tenaya Stone Spa, located just steps away from Downtown Disney at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Festive treatments will be available from November 25th to January 2nd.

Downtown Disney Holiday Live Entertainment 🔔

To top it all off, live performers will be taking the stage to offer holiday cheer in the form of song all throughout the season. I recommend grabbing a few treats and a hot peppermint latte before you settle in to enjoy a performance on the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage. The schedule for live holiday performances is as follows:

  • 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
  • November 25th, 2022 through December 25th, 2022

As you wait to be entertained, take the kids on over to the craft table near the stage where you’ll be invited to craft your very own ✨free✨ paper garland in the colors of the holiday of your choosing: Christmas, Diwali, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa!
