by | Dec 28, 2021 | Typhoon Lagoon, Walt Disney World News, WDW Blog

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will reopen to the public on Jan. 2, 2022.

While most other Disney attractions have reopened as access to masks and vaccinations increased, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park has remained closed to the public since the initial pandemic shutdown. Now, the water park will reopen on Jan. 22 to let guests once again enjoy the wonderfully wet attractions and delicious menu items.

Let’s get excited about everything we can do after the Typhoon Lagoon water park reopening!

For older kids and adults taller than 48 inches, Crush ‘n’ Gusher is a must. This raft ride is similar to a thrilling coaster but with water chutes instead of a track. The ride is designed as an abandoned fruit-processing plant and features a 400-foot-long tube slide. You can choose from three different “fruit chutes”: Pineapple Plunger, Coconut Crusher, and Banana Blaster.

Castaway Creek
