Disney’s Hollywood Studios (DHS) has the best rides of any park at Walt Disney World. That’s my story and I’m sticking too it. But, there are big changes happening at DHS. BIG CHANGES. This month we take a long look at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We look at the past, the future and what’s happening now.
Come see all about the Studios with our feature articles this month. It’s starts out with a trip down memory lane as Courtney looks at the evolution of DHS from the early days to the present. After that we discuss whether or not all of the construction will be the “death” of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Then we walk through What to Do, What to See, What to Eat and the Characters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. That’s a pretty good start.
This month we kick off Helping Hands with a look at which FastPass+ experiences are the best. Jeremy talks about dealing with twins at WDW. Karyn talks about whether or not to Splurge on Club Villain and Kimberly takes us on a tour of Club Disney.
The Best of WDW
The Best of WDW is really good this month. The resort of the month is Port Orleans Riverside. Oooh. The restaurant is Hollywood & Vine. The attraction is Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular which is really cool and the gift shop of the month is Watto’s Grotto. That will keep you busy for a while.
Section k! is just fun and this month is no exception. Wally D is playing Jedi mind tricks, the Park kids have a busy day with Muffy the guinea pig in the Magic Kingdom. This month’s For the Love of Walt Disney video is about Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Lisa shows us how to make pressed penny bracelets and Section k! finishes up with our monthly downloadable coloring crossword and word search pages.
What is your favorite show at DHS? We’ve got a breakdown of what our Facebook Fans picked. April talks about the smells around WDW in What I Love Best. Shannon shares the recipe for 50’s Prime Time Cafe’s Mom’s Meatloaf. Yum. And in the Vinylmation and Tsum Tsum Corner we look at the DHS collectables.
Our buddy Gavin Doyle of Disney Dose got to sit down with Joe Rhode. Yes the Joe Rhode. Joe talks about his early days at Disney, how he got started and how he made a “giant jump” to working on Animal Kingdom. Joe talks about a lot of things in the interview including his Maasai earring. You’ve got to see this interview!
Around the World
The News kicks off Around the World and is full of openings, closings and all the news from around WDW. Terri has our Fun Facts about DHS in Did You Know? Stephanie compares Symphony in the Stars with World of Color. Kim looks at some Gone but not Forgotten days at WDW and Amy takes a look at the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure in Off the Beaten Path.
Wow. That’s a big issue.
