Feeling good and Christmas-y already? Let Disneyland Paris help put you in a festive mood with your first look at Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade, a brand-new parade starting Nov. 13.
Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade Years in the Making
Just like a batch of fresh gingerbread cookies, Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade required some time in the oven to make sure the flavor was just right. Disney says it’s been developing the new parade over the past several years, so you know this one’s going to be spectacular.
And spectacular it indeed sounds. Disney Parks Blog dropped some details about what the parade will include—including five major floats featuring some of your favorite Disney characters.
Each float will depict a scene straight out of a Christmas fairytale. They’ll also star familiar faces like Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Stitch, Pluto, Mickey, and Minnie.
Would it be a Christmas parade without an appearance from Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick? Of course it wouldn’t, and that’s why Santa Claus is right there in a featured role.
Disneyland Paris Getting Decked Out for the Holidays
Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade won’t be all that’s making spirits bright around Disneyland Paris this holiday season. The whole park will be done up in twinkling lights and tinsel.
To make the park shimmer in seasonally spectacular style, Disneyland Paris is deploying 78 real evergreen trees. Among those is a 78-foot-tall, 24-ton centerpiece that towers over the park.
Adorning those trees and other elements of the park are 11,604 ornaments and 37,000 flowers. Disneyland Paris will also use more than four miles of garland during the holiday season.
But that’s not all that’s happening at Disneyland Paris this holiday. Two fan favorites are also making a comeback. Disneyland Paris has announced the return of the Disney Illuminations nighttime spectacular and The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands show.
If you love Christmas, traveling, and Disney, it’s going to be well worth it to book a trip to Disneyland Paris this holiday season.
