Disneyland has revealed its holiday season dates, as well as details on exactly what the festive season will bring to the parks!
Halloween Time at Disneyland hasn’t begun yet (we’re just a few weeks away from September 1st!), but already we’re looking ahead to the holiday season. Disneyland has revealed its holiday season dates and details, giving us a glimpse at exactly what we can expect when the holidays arrive at the Happiest Place on Earth later this year.
Disneyland Holiday Season Dates
The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will be returning starting November 10, 2023, through January 7, 2024. The season will include the returning Disney Festival of Holidays marketplaces, special entertainment, and even the chance to snap a picture with Mickey and Minnie in their brand-new holiday outfits!
Disney Festival of Holidays Returning
The popular Disney Festival of Holidays will be returning, allowing guests to celebrate seasonal celebrations from around the world, such as Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day. This year’s festival will include some new and returning food and drinks, as well as music and dance performances at the Palisades Stage, Sonoma Terrace and for the first time, in the Hollywood Backlot.
Guests visiting the festival can choose to purchase a Sip and Savor Pass, giving them eight entitlement tabs that can be redeemed for select food and nonalcoholic beverages. Because these can be shared among friends and family, it’s a great way for your whole group to try out a variety of food.
Disney ¡Viva Navidad! will also return to Paradise Gardens Park, where you will be able to taste a new menu at Paradise Garden Grill. You’ll also be able to see special appearances from Disney characters like Mirabel from Encanto, as well as Mickey, Minnie, and the Three Caballeros.
Decor Holiday Overlays at Disneyland Resort
Another returning holiday favorite will be the holiday overlays. Twinkling lights will adorn Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, with icicles and snow-capped turrets. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will feature its returning gingerbread house, while Christmas trees and other decorations can be found everywhere else throughout Disneyland Resort.
As for the rides, both “it’s a small world” and Haunted Mansion will be getting their typical holiday overlays, with Haunted Mansion Holiday returning for another year. Other overlays will include Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree at Cars Land in Disney California Adventure.
Holiday Entertainment at Disneyland Resort
For entertainment, you’ll get the chance to pose with Mickey and Minnie in their brand-new holiday outfits. Santa Claus will also be on hand for pictures through December 24th! Other returning favorites will include A Christmas Fantasy Parade, as well as the nighttime spectaculars Believe…In Holiday Magic. Additionally, live musical performances will take place on select evenings at Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage.
Finally, if you are looking to enjoy even more from teh holidays, you can try out the Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour, which offers a hosted experience of seasonal offerings, as well as reserved viewings for A Christmas Fantasy Parade.
