Disneyland has shared information on its new park reservation system and ticket sales before the reopening of each theme park on April 30.
It was first announced on March 17 that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure would reopen at the end of April after being closed for over a year due to the pandemic.
At the time, Disneyland also made it clear that in order to access theme parks, guests will need both valid theme park admission and a park reservation (just like Walt Disney World visitors).
It’s also important to note again that only California residents are allowed to visit at this time. They also can only visit in groups no larger than 3 households, which is in line with current state guidelines.
Park Reservation System & Ticket Sales
Before we dive in, remember that ticket expiration dates were extended for many outstanding tickets.
Now, these are the dates guests need to know, so make sure to pay attention.
- April 9: For those who currently hold a theme park ticket, they can check available days for their 1-day ticket type on Disneyland.com/ParksUpdates.
- April 12: The theme park reservation system will open no earlier than 8:00 AM PST and those who already have valid theme park tickets can make park reservations.
- April 15: Theme park ticket sales will resume no earlier than 8:00 AM PST, and guests without park tickets can purchase tickets and make park reservations.
Guests with multi-day tickets will be required to make a separate park reservation for each day they plan to visit the theme parks.

Other Reopening Details
Here are a few other details to note:
Guests staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa (the hotel will reopen on April 29) still have to book a theme park reservation. A hotel stay does not guarantee a theme park reservation.
Park hopping is returning! If you have Park Hopper tickets, you can pick which park you want to begin your day when making park reservations. Then, you can visit the other park starting at 1:00 PM that same day.
Upon reopening, daily park hours are slated to be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., but these could change, so make sure to check both the Disneyland website and app for the latest hours.
Parking will be available at the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures, located off Disneyland Drive.
As for dining, Disney is planning to reopen dining bookings for select locations on April 22, with limited capacity. Guests will be able to book dining reservation 60 days in advance on the website or via the app.
Disneyland has updated its website with a ton of reopening materials, including which attractions will be available, what guests need to know about dining, and so much more.
