Disney World Value Resorts: A Complete Guide

by | Apr 5, 2023 | WDW Blog, WDW Resorts

When you’re staying at Disney World, you have a few different categories of on-site hotel options: Deluxe, Moderate, and Value. We’re sharing a complete guide to the Disney World Value Resort Hotels, including dining options, transportation, and exactly what you can find at each.

There are so many options to choose from when you are staying at Walt Disney World. You can stay off-site at a number of different hotels in Orlando, or you can choose to stay on-property at Walt Disney World Resort. When you stay on property, you can do so at a Value, Moderate, or Deluxe Resort hotel, each of which offers different amenities and options to choose from. We’re sharing a complete guide to everything you need to know about the Disney World Value Resort hotels, from your options to what you will be able to find at each!

What is a Disney World Value Resort

Disney World’s Value Resort hotels are their lowest-priced on-site options. Currently, Disney World has five Value Resort hotels: Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s All Star Music Resort, Disney’s All Star Sports Resort, and Disney’s All Star Movies Resort. The rack rate prices for the Value Resort hotels can vary based on date and which of the hotels you choose. Typically, the lower end for a standard room would be about $152/per night plus tax, going all the way up to $347/per night plus tax for a standard room at a busier time of the year.

If you have a member of your party that simply loves Disney theming, though, each of the Value Resort hotels is very on-theme to its name. At Disney’s Pop Century, you will be taken to a blast from the past, with different buildings themed to decades over the past century. Disney’s Art of Animation is all about the history of Walt Disney Animation, and you’ll find some familiar Disney characters located throughout the property. Disney’s All Star Resorts each live up to their names — Sports, Music, and Movies!

Dining and transportation options for the Value Resort hotels will be a bit more limited to what you would find at the Moderate or Deluxe Resort hotels in Disney World. Additionally, most of the rooms have doors that lead directly outside, as opposed to being connected inside of a building. Value Resort hotels do offer the perks from staying on-site, namely you will have access to Early Theme Park Entry, as well as the ability to make your first Individual Lightning Lane selection at 7AM.

Value Resort Dining Options

Dining is one of the biggest differences between a Value Resort and a Moderate or Deluxe Resort. While Disney World’s Moderate and Deluxe Resort hotels typically feature at least one table service, signature dining option, the Value Resort hotels only offer quick service dining. Additionally, bar service is available at each of the hotels’ pool bars.

These are the dining options you can find at each of the Disney World Value Resort hotels:

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

  • Everything POP Shopping & Dining
  • Petals Pool Bar

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

  • Landscape of Flavors
  • The Drop Off Pool Bar

Disney’s All Star Music Resort

  • Intermission Food Court
  • Singing Spirits Pool Bar

Disney’s All Star Sports Resort

  • End Zone Food Court
  • Grandstand Spirits Pool bar

Disney’s All Star Movies Resort

  • World Premiere Food Court
  • Silver Screen Spirits Pool Bar

Value Resort Transportation

Value Resort hotel transportation is also more limited, with two major exceptions. At all three of the All Star Resorts, bus transportation is your only option for getting to and from the parks. However, Disney’s Pop Century and Disney’s Art of Animation are both on the Disney Skyliner, which means you have easier access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. The Skyliner station is located at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, which is accessible to guests at Art of Animation by way of the Generation Gap bridges that connect the two hotels.

The bus transportation for the All Star Resort hotels goes between all three hotels, so you will want to plan a bit of extra time to get to the parks if you are staying there.

Value Resort Accommodations

Each of the Value Resort hotels offer standard rooms, but at Disney’s All Star Music Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort you can also book a family suite. The family suites feature one Queen bed, along with two Queen-size pull down beds, meaning you can accommodate up to six adults. At Art of Animation, there are a few differently themed family suites available: Finding Nemo Family Suites, Cars Family Suites, and The Lion King Family Suites.

Each of the hotels also offer gift shops. At Pop Century you can shop where you eat at Everything POP Shopping & Dining, while Art of Animation has the Ink and Paint Gift Shop. The All Star Resorts each feature their own shops as well: Maestro Mickey’s at All Star Music, Goofy Gifts and Sundries at All Star Sports, and Donald’s Double Feature at All Star Movies.

As for pools, each of the hotels have multiple pools that guests are available to use, with one larger pool and one smaller option. These are the pools you can find at each of the hotels:

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

  • Hippy Dippy Pool
  • Bowling Pool
  • Computer Pool

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

  • Big Blue Pool (the largest resort pool in Walt Disney World)
  • Cozy Cone Pool
  • Flippin’ Finds Pool

Disney’s All Star Music Resort

  • Calypso Pool
  • Piano Pool

Disney’s All Star Sports Resort

  • Surfboard Bay Pool
  • Grand Slam Pool
