In an effort to address peak park capacity, Disney World has been actively extending its hours to allow more time for guests to find magical experiences. Disney has solidified this move as we move into the busy summer months.

As of now, extended Disney World summer hours are scheduled through July 2, but we expect Disney to update hours here again soon. Bookmark this page and check back in as the summer progresses.

Magic Kingdom Summer Hours at Disney World

Magic Kingdom typically opens at 9 AM and closes of 10 PM. However, with extended summer hours, Magic Kingdom is slated to close at 11 PM most nights. (It will still open at 9 AM.)

Here are all the nights that Magic Kingdom stays open until 11 PM this summer, through July 2:

• May 25-31
• June 1-6
• June 8
• June 10-15
• June 17-27
• June 29
• July 1-2

Magic Kingdom closes at 10 PM on:

• June 7
• June 9
• June 16
• June 28
• June 30

Don’t forget about Extra Magic Hours. Though Magic Kingdom opens a 9 AM each morning, resort guests can enter the park 30 minutes earlier. And guests of qualifying resorts can also take advantage of extended evening hours on the following dates:

• May 25 (11 PM to 1 AM)
• June 1 (10 PM to 12 AM)
• June 8 (11 PM to 1 AM)
• June 15 (11 PM to 1 AM)
• June 22 (11 PM to 1 AM)
• June 29 (11 PM to 1 AM)

EPCOT Summer Hours at Disney World

While EPCOT will still close at 9 PM, Disney has bumped up its opening time to 8:30 AM. With early entry, resort guests can get into EPCOT starting at 8 AM. These early hours are in effect through July 2 as of now.

Extended evening hours for EPCOT through July 2 include:

• May 30 (9 PM to 11 PM)
• June 6 (9 PM to 11 PM)
• June 13 (9 PM to 11 PM)
• June 20 (9 PM to 11 PM)
• June 27 (9 PM to 11 PM)

Hollywood Studios Summer Hours at Disney World

Like EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, which typically opens at 9 AM, will open at 8:30 AM every day through July 2. That means resort guests can get in at 8 AM via early entry.

Hollywood Studios will continue to close at 9 PM. There are no extended evening hours for this park.

Animal Kingdom Summer Hours at Disney World

Animal Kingdom is for early risers, typically opening at 8 AM. However, during Disney World’s extended summer hours, the park will open at 7:30 AM on select dates, meaning early entry gets guests in at 7 AM.

For now, Animal Kingdom’s 7:30 AM openings are scheduled for:

• May 25 – June 4
• June 9

Animal Kingdom has the earliest closing time, at 8 PM. It’s worth staying until close, however, so you can experience Pandora after dark.

How Extra Magic Hours Work

Extra Magic Hours refers to both early entry and extended evening hours. These perks are reserved for Disney World resort guests; however, not every resort qualifies for both perks.

Early Entry

Guests of any Disney World hotel, as well as select other hotels, can enter the park with a valid ticket and reservation 30 minutes ahead of the posted opening time. Here’s the full list of participating hotels:

Extended Evening Hours

Extended evening hours are only available for Disney World Deluxe Resorts, Deluxe Villa Resorts, and a few other select hotels. Right now, these extra hours are only available for Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on select dates. They give you 2 hours to explore after park close.

Extra Magic Hours Strategy

In theory, with Extra Magic Hours and these extended summer hours at Disney World, you could be in a Disney Park from 7 AM to 1 AM. Here’s how:

• As a resort guest, enter Animal Kingdom at 7 AM on a day that it opens at 7:30 AM.
• Park hop over to Magic Kingdom after 2 PM.
• Stay until close at 11 PM on a date that the park stays open later and offers extended evening hours.
• Enjoy 2 additional hours as a Deluxe Resort guest, closing down the park at 1 AM.

Magic Kingdom is the Disney World Park that stays open the latest. During extended summer hours and with Extra Magic Hours as a Deluxe Resort guest, you could enjoy the park until 1 AM.
