Disney Debuts New Disney World Florida License Plate Benefitting Make-A-Wish

Disney has shared a preview of a new Disney World Florida state license plate that will debut soon to benefit Make-A-Wish.

If you’re a Florida resident who wants to show off their love of Disney wherever they go, Disney just shared some exciting news. In the past, Disney World has offered different vanity license plates that Florida residents could pick up for their vehicles. In 2020, Back in 2021, Disney World shared a special 50th anniversary-inspired vanity plate for Florida residents to purchase. Now, Disney has shared that a brand new Disney World-inspired license plate will be rolling out soon, benefitting a great cause.

Starting this week, the brand new Disney World Florida license plate will be available in local county tax collector’s offices and license plate agencies (DMVs) throughout Florida. The redesigned plate will continue to benefit Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida, helping to grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses and their families. On the Disney Parks Blog, Disney shared that their first Disney World specialty plate for the 50th anniversary helped to raise over $2 million for the Make-A-Wish chapter.

“Disney is our largest wish granter in the world, and they know just how important it is to create joy and hope for children and families who need it most,” said Anne Cuba, President & CEO, Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida. “This new license plate is the latest way we are making big impacts for wish families in Florida, and I can’t wait to see it hit the roads soon as even more Florida drivers join us in making wishes come true.”

How to Purchase the New Disney World Florida License Plate

Wondering how you can pick up a plate for yourself? You will need to be a Florida resident to be able to do so. Here are the steps you can take to get a Disney World Florida license plate for yourself.

If You Already Have a Registered Car in Florida

  1. Visit the FLHSMV website and find the location of your nearest County Tax Collector’s Office in-person office, or Florida DMV
  2. Make an appointment for tag renewal or registration
  3. During your appointment, you can purchase an available Disney World Florida splate

For New Florida Residents Registering Their Car for the First Time

  1. Visit the FLHSMV website
  2. Click the “Motor Vehicles, Tags & Titles” drop-down menu and select “License Plates & Registration”
  3. From the License Plates & Registration page, navigate to the Motor Vehicle Registrations page for detailed information about how to apply for a license plate and registration

How to Personalize Your Disney World Florida License Plate

  1. Check the availability of your desired configuration using the Personalized License Plate Inquiry service
  2. Print and complete an Application for Personalized License Plate
  3. Visit a motor vehicle service center in Florida in person with your completed application to order your personalized Walt Disney World Florida specialty license plate
  4. Receive your personalized Walt Disney World Florida specialty license plate in the mail
