Disney World Annual Passes Returning This Fall

When COVID-19 disrupted park operations, Disney had to pivot globally. One thing that Disney scrapped amid all the closures and uncertainty was its annual pass.
The only way you could buy an annual pass to Disney World was to renew one you already had.
Of course, our own Communications Director Tatjana Lazar found a waiting list for previous annual passholders who had already let theirs expire. And eventually, being on the waiting list paid off when she secured a new Disney World annual pass earlier this year.
But for anyone without a current annual pass or a recently expired annual pass, there was no way to buy a new one. That made visits for park regulars way too expensive.
But with the vaccine rollout and loosening restrictions (well, maybe loosening restrictions …), Disney is finally resurrecting the glorious WDW annual pass.

Your guess is as good as mine. Disney has promised more information this month, and I imagine they’ll want to have it up and running well before Oct. 1, when the sole focus should and will be on the 50th anniversary (including new fireworks shows, a new KiteTails show, and the opening of the new Remy ride).
