Disney Wish Cove Café: Review, Photos, and Menu

Serenity at sea! Keep reading for a review, photos, and the menu at the adults-only Disney Wish Cove Café.

If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway onboard the Disney Wish, you can head over to Quiet Cove Pool for an adults-only refuge. The area is expressly for Guests 18 and over, offering an adults-only pool and lounge. In this area, you’ll find Cove Café, where you can enjoy specialty drinks, coffee beverages and tea throughout the day, along with cocktails, wine, or a light bite at night.

On the Disney Wish, Cove Café is themed to Moana, providing an adults-only café and lounge for Guests to enjoy. We’re sharing a complete guide to everything you need to know about Cove Café aboard the Disney Wish.

Where is Cove Café on the Disney Wish?

You’ll find this adults-only, poolside lounge on Deck 13, Aft of the Disney Wish. It’s conveniently located next to Quiet Cove Pool and far from the ship’s family activities. Ahhh … sweet serenity. The area is themed to Moana, a touch that the WDW Magazine staff absolutely loved! According to WDW Magazine Social Media Coordinator Aly, “The seating area has hints of Moana-theming and I found it way more welcoming and inviting than the one [on the Disney Dream].”

Compared to the Cove Cafés on the other Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Wish Cove Café has a smaller indoor seating area. But there’s a good reason for that. According to WDW Magazine CEO, Stephanie, “All your favorite espresso drinks can also be found at several other onboard cafes/bars like The Bayou, Marceline Market Cafe, Wishing Star Cafe and Enchanted Sword Cafe! So when you want something quick to-go, head there, otherwise go to Cove for a relaxing, indulgent sit-down with your favorite brew.”

But outside? It’s a different story. The stunning and spacious outdoor seating area is perfect for relaxing with a Cold Brew Cocktail. Outside you can sit and enjoy the ocean breeze, taking in some seriously breathtaking views of the sea in comfortable chairs.

Disney Wish Cove Café: Full Review

The Disney Wish Cove Café is the perfect spot for adult guests to enjoy all the caffeinated comforts of their home coffee shop … at sea! If you’ve ever been to a Cove Café on the other Disney cruise ships, you’ll find a more elevated experience on the Wish.

Because our team was attending a special media preview, crowds were lighter than what you can expect on a full sailing. With the indoor ordering area much smaller than expected, our team wondered whether this would lead to some long line-ups while waiting for your morning coffee. So you may need to keep that in mind before you make your first trip there!

However, WDW Magazine Creative Director Danny says that this really isn’t the place to grab a quick cup of coffee in the morning as you head out to the pool deck. The Cove Café aboard the Disney Wish is best enjoyed when you take the time to sit and savor your beverage. It takes time to prepare each order, but the quality and attention to detail make your beverage well worth the wait.

Our team sampled the latte (with beautiful Disney Wish logo latte art thanks to the café’s Ripple Maker), iced matcha, Turkish-style coffee, and Vietnamese coffee. Prices are comparable to what you’d expect at your local Starbucks. Surprisingly, there were not as many milk options as the team expected (especially when compared to their experiences at other Cove Cafés). Then again, our team was sailing on a media preview cruise and the lack of alternative milk options may have been a supply issue at the time.

If you’re looking to grab a pastry or other baked goods to go with your coffee, you may be disappointed. When our team sailed on the media preview, there was no pastry case. But back to the main event: Coffee. The quality of the coffee as well as the brewing and bean options, get an A+ from our team. Not only that, but the café serves their international-style coffees in matching traditional glassware.  It’s that kind of thoughtful attention to detail that makes the Cove Café worthy of a spot on your cruise itinerary.

Disney Wish Cove Café Menu And Prices

The Disney Wish Cove Café serves coffee and tea by day and coffee-infused cocktails and wine by night. (There’s a full bar, so you can order standard cocktails as well.) Just because it’s Moana-themed, doesn’t mean it’s for kids. This is a serene, adults-only retreat. Unlike its counterparts on the other ships, the Disney Wish Cove Café serves top-shelf liquors (including a respectable selection of scotch, bourbon and cognac) as well as cigars.

The options here are endless, but the real stars of the menu are the international-style coffees and special brewing methods. Take it from Danny. This Cove Café is for serious coffee connoisseurs: “The menu is geared towards the connoisseur/coffee nerd who actually has an opinion about things like pour-over vs. extraction methods or luongo vs. ristretto espresso shots.”

🌺 WDW Magazine Review: “I had an iced Vietnamese coffee (extra strong espresso poured over sweetened condensed milk) and it was one of the finest cups of that particular style I have ever enjoyed,” says our Creative Director, Danny.
