This Halloween, make it your mission to encounter your favorite Disney Villains at Disney World.

1. Villains After Hours (Magic Kingdom)
Disney Villains After Hours was a ticketed event that started pre-pandemic and was so devilishly good, we are wishing upon a lot of stars it comes back.

Take it from someone who did a Bowler Hat Guy Disneybound and is a not-so-evil stepmom, just seeing rare characters like Oogie Boogie, Lady Tremaine, Dr. Facilier, The Queen and even Bowler Hat Guy made this event worth it.

But the scariest part of the night? Leaving the Magic Kingdom with the Villain’s Farewell. Just as you thought it was safe to leave the park at the end of the party, Gaston, the Tremaines, the Queen of Hearts, and Cruella invade the train station and tease guests and each other.

2. Meeting Drizella and Anastasia (Magic Kingdom)
Find a double dose of wicked wandering around the Magic Kingdom in the form of Drizella and Anastasia.
Cinderella’s wicked stepsisters are loud, opinionated, bratty, and a blast to meet. They have been spotted terrorizing guests and looking for their prince in Fantasyland near Princess Fairytale Hall or on the balcony on the backside of the castle.

During normal operations, they usually have a meet-and-greet, often around the Castle Wall near Enchanted Fairytales with Belle.
If you’re really lucky, you can get invited to dinner with Cinderella, the sisters, and even Lady Tremaine at 1900 Park Fare.

3. Gaston’s Tavern (Magic Kingdom)

Looking for four dozen eggs to help you get large? Head over to Gaston’s Tavern.
Well, you can’t actually get four dozen eggs, but you can get a giant Gaston-sized cinnamon roll and wash it down with a LeFou’s Brew.
If you have boots, stomp around wearing them and flop into Gaston’s manly sized chair.

You can meet Gaston during normal operations near his tavern in Magic Kingdom.
But only in France at EPCOT can you get to sit in a beautiful theater, watch a sweet retelling of Beauty and the Beast from LeFou’s point of view, and sing the song “Gaston” at the top of your lungs!
5. Disney After Hours Boo Bash (Magic Kingdom)

No surprise that Halloween is when the Disney World Villains love to come out and socialize, especially at Magic Kingdom.
For Halloween 2021, the main event is Disney After Hours Boo Bash
During this ticketed event, you can get Halloween-themed treats, dress up like your favorite villain, check out the devilishly delightful decorations, and, best of all, see the characters.
Can’t make it to Boo Bash? You’ll feel like you’re there when reading our in-depth narrative piece in our September Halloween issue, available now with all your favorite Disney tricks and treats for just $12 + shipping.
The villains have taken over the cavalcades. Look for Dr. Facilier, the Queen of Hearts, Oogie Boogie, and even Jafar soaring down Main Street.
Hide your children when visiting the rare characters Foulfellow and Gideon from Pinocchio at Pinocchio’s Village Haus.

6. Maleficent Dragon (Magic Kingdom)

Disney World’s Boo Bash at Magic Kingdom is now on sale online with new dates.
At Boo Bash, Villain’s After Hours, and during some daytime events, Maleficent heats things up on Main Street at Magic Kingdom as a fire-breathing dragon.
When the Festival of Fantasy Parade is running during the day, you may even spot Prince Philip bravely fighting the dragon.
7. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (Magic Kingdom)

8. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Magic Kingdom)

While at Magic Kingdom, heigh-ho all the way to Fantasyland and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
After you’ve whistled while you work and visited the mine, you zoom by the dwarfs’ cottage. Look closely at who is outside knocking on the door with a basket of poisoned apples.
Don’t miss the “Scariest. Ride. Ever.” article in our September issue for terrifying details on Snow White rides at Disney Parks around the world.
9. Ursula (Disney’s Art of Animation Resort)

Let’s find more witches! Hop on the Skyliner and head to Art of Animation.
Make your way to the Little Mermaid section for the almost 4-story-tall Ursula between two of the buildings.
This statue is massive. Grab a friend and you can totally reenact the battle scene from the movie. Or just take a really memorable selfie.
10. Iago Magic Shot (EPCOT)

Looking for a slightly less terrifying picture with a Disney Villain?
Hop back on the Skyliner and head into EPCOT. Pop into Morocco, find a Disney PhotoPass photographer, and kindly ask if they have the Iago Magic Shot.
It’s far less scary (especially for little ones) when you don’t actually have to face the villain; instead, a little Disney magic will add the evil Iago from Aladdin into your photo later.

11. Wonderful World of Animation (Hollywood Studios)

Hop on that Skyliner once again and make your way to Hollywood Studios for the Wonderful World of Animation nighttime show.
Hollywood Studios is arguably one of the best parks for Disney Villains at Disney World because of the shows alone, with Fantasmic! (which is sadly still closed) and the Wonderful World of Animation.
This show is projected onto the Chinese Theater at the end of Hollywood Boulevard and even has a portion of the show called Villain-y.
In just 15 short, wonderful minutes, you will see:
- Yzma from Emperor’s New Groove
- Mother Gothel from Tangled
- Bellwether from Zootopia
- Darla and Bruce from Finding Nemo
- Syndrome from The Incredibles
- Lots-o and the Prospector from the Toy Story movies
12. Lots-o-Huggin’ Bear Register (Hollywood Studios)

Want a hug? Photo by Trisha Daab
If Lots-o Huggin’ Bear from Toy Story 3 was a cash register, would he still smell of strawberries?
Find out in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. Look closely at the register stand when ordering your Lunch Box Tart and Totchos at Woody’s Lunchbox, and you may just spot a bear who needs a hug.

13. The Dark Side at Galaxy’s Edge (Hollywood Studios)

Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios is bursting with ways to find your Dark Side. Find them all in “Do These Things You Must at Galaxy’s Edge with Kids” in Issue 94.
Where can you have one of the most epic villain moments in all of WDW? On Rise of the Resistance, baby! (And no more virtual queue required!)
SPOILER ALERT: While on Rise, not only are you captured by the First Order and taken through a room of intimidating (and totally photo-worthy) Stormtroopers, but you’re also put in a cell, visited by Kylo Ren, and then rescued by an adorable droid who drives you madly through iconic evil Star Wars moments to escape.
