Disney Vacation Club Raises Prices on Select Resorts

by | Feb 12, 2025 | Disney Vacation Club, DVC Points, DVC Resorts, Walt Disney World News, Walt Disney World Resorts

Disney Vacation Club just got a price increase, with the price per point rising by as much as $10 for select resort hotels.

For those that want to visit the Disney Parks (or many other Disney properties and vacation packages) annually, Disney offers the Disney Vacation Club (DVC). The program allows members to buy points that can be used at Disney resorts and on Disney vacations, with Membership Extra included such as discounts, offers, and special events. The cost per point ranges based on where you’re staying, and this week, the cost per point at a few Disney Vacation Club resorts saw a price increase.

Disney Vacation Club Price Increase

Disney Vacation Club has increased the price per point at five resorts: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Aulani Resort. The price per point increase ranged from $6 to $10, with the following changes:

  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort: $235 (previously $225 per point)
  • Disney’s Riviera Resort: $235 (previously $225 per point)
  • The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness: $235 (previously $225 per point)
  • Villas at Disney’s Aulani Resort: $235 (previously $225 per point)
  • The Villas at Disneyland Hotel: $245 (previously $239 per point)

In order to join the Disney Vacation Club, you need to make an initial investment (or purchase a number of points), which comes with closing costs and fees like any other real estate transaction. DVC members do have the flexibility of choosing how many points they purchase, but there is a minimum number required.

How to Rent DVC Points

If you are looking to get some of the perks of the Disney Vacation Club without buying in, there are ways to get the perks for less money. For example, you can save money by renting DVC points. Our partners at David’s DVC Rentals offer a cost calculator that lets you input your dates and find out how much you’ll spend per night to stay at each DVC property.

David’s DVC Rentals offers three price tiers:

  • Advantage: $20 per point
  • Regular: $23 per point
  • Premium: $25 per point

While the cost will change based on where you stay and when, you aren’t required to make any down payment or sign a contract like you would as a DVC member. This makes it a more flexible arrangement for those that may not want to do a Disney vacation every year.
