We are celebrating LGBTQ+ communities with new Disney pride pins.

On May 3rd, 2021, The Walt Disney Company announced a new line of rainbow merch, including pins that celebrate the bisexual, lesbian, and trans pride flags!

This collection includes Mickey heads along with Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar icons. All pins are $9.99, except the Star Wars pin, which is priced at $12.99.

Disney Pride Pins – Flags

Flying your flag means taking a stand, being confident in your own skin, and sharing your support with others! Check out these new Mickey head pride pins to brandish this summer. Here are the pride flag pins available and a bit of a refresher on what these colors represent:

Trans Flag Pride Pin, $9.99

Trans rights are human rights!

From outrightinternational.org: “The light blue and light pink are the traditional colors for baby girls and baby boys, respectively, while the white represents intersex, transitioning, or a neutral or undefined gender.”

Intersectional Pride Pin, $9.99

We take a stand with all who believe in love. This intersectional pin shows we stand with everyone willing to be kind and respectful.

This flag includes black and brown stripes to represent marginalized LGBT communities of color. This flag was first adopted by the city of Philadelphia in 2017 and has since been the inspiration for Daniel Quasar’s updated Pride flag.

Lesbian Flag Pride Pin, $9.99

One for the ladies, this pin specifically celebrates the lesbian flag.

The lesbian flag has been on a bit of a journey. It originally had a kiss in the middle, but the new flag veers away from the implications of feminine gender expression. You’ll see this new version with either seven or five stripes.

The colors of the lesbian pride flag represent gender non-conformity, independence, community, unique relationships to womanhood, peace, love, and femininity.

Bisexual Flag Pride Pin, $9.99

Bisexuals. We’re just right in the middle of everything, and I gotta say the twilight colors of our flag are so cool. But maybe I’m … biased?

From outrightinternational.org: “The pink is intended to represent attraction to the same sex only, the royal blue to the opposite sex only, and the purple attraction to all genders / more than one.”
