Disney Merchandise Mobile Checkout: Where to Use It and How It Works

by | Dec 2, 2021 | Disneyland Merch, Disneyland Parks, DLR News, Walt Disney World, Walt Disney World Merch, Walt Disney World News

You can now use the Disney merchandise mobile checkout option when shopping for gifts at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

Not much good has come out of the pandemic, except seeing everybody’s dogs on Zoom calls and, hopefully, greater respect for those who work on the front lines in any capacity. And also mobile ordering food at Disney World.

I love that I can order a snack from the Friar’s Nook while I’m queueing up for Peter Pan’s Flight and have my Toad Burger ready to go when I step out of my galleon. It’s pure magic.

Disney has sought to expand that magic with its mobile checkout option. Until now, it’s been available at a select few spots across Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, but it’s been limited in scope.

But given the high demand for 50th anniversary merch plus the holiday shopping season, Disney is officially rolling out the option at a wide range of stores at both resorts.

Disney Merchandise Mobile Checkout: How It Works

New to using mobile checkout for your Disney merch? It’s pretty easy.

When you arrive at the store, just open your MDE or Disneyland app and scan the barcodes as you shop. Place any scanned items in your bag. When you are finished, show the purchase QR code to a Cast Member, who will check your bag and send you on your way.

If you are an Annual Passholder or Magic Key holder or have a DVC discount, just make sure you are signed in to your Disney account in the app. Discounts will automatically be applied.
