Disney, Make-A-Wish, and MrBeast surprised nearly 40 kids with an Avengers-themed wish event at Disneyland, featuring celebrity creators, Marvel stars, and unforgettable moments.
As part of Disney Week of Wishes, Disneyland Resort recently played host to a rather heroic event. Wishes Assemble was a first-of-its-kind wish event for nearly forty kids battling critical illnesses and their families at Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park at Disneyland Resort. Participants stepped into the role of Avengers recruits, alongside content creators such as Mark Rober, Dude Perfect, Sam & Colby, PrestonPlayz & BriannaPlayz, and Clix.

The day began with a comic book art lesson on drawing Spider-Man, led by a professional artist. During that class, Captain America actor Anthony Mackie made a surprise apperance where he gifted wish kids Hasbro Captain America Action Figures. He also spent time with 9-year-old Coen, whose wish was to meet Mackie, his favorite superhero. The two rode Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT together.

Inaugural WishMaker Lifetime Achievement Award
A highlight of Wishes Assemble was also honoring former, long-time Disney CEO Bob Iger. Iger received the inaugural WishMaker Lifetime Achievement Award from Leslie Motter, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America. The award was given in recognition of his contributions to the organization. During his tenure, Disney helped grant over 110,000 wishes, providing Make-A-Wish with $30 million of support in 2025 alone.

“Something truly special happens when communities come together with one shared vision: to bring joy to wish kids in ways that surpass even their greatest imagination,” shared Leslie Motter, Make-A-Wish America President and CEO. “The smiles on those children’s faces when their wish comes to life — there’s nothing like it. And none of it happens without the commitment of incredible supporters like Disney, MrBeast, and more. These are the moments that families will carry with them forever, helping shape what they believe is possible. We are beyond grateful for everyone who made Wishes Assemble a reality.”
