Disney has shared exciting new details on Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, debuting for Disney Cruise Line in the summer of 2024.
2024 is going to be an exciting year for Disney Cruise Line. In December 2024, the seventh ship, the Disney Treasure, will have its maiden voyage. But, earlier in the year, Disney Cruise Line will be opening up its new retreat on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas. Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point will be a new private island for Disney Cruise Line passengers, offering fun activities and entertainment for all age groups. And this week, the Disney Parks Blog has shared new details on the upcoming island!
New Details on Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
The first piece of concept art shared was Mabrika Cove. “Mabrika” means “welcome” in Taino, the language of the Lucayans. There will also be the Goombay Cultural Center, which will embody the spirit behind “Junkanoo.” The Bahamian festival is celebrated with music and vibrant parades. And Goombay comes from the name of the traditional music styles of The Bahamas.

At Triton’s Trumpet Stage, you’ll be able to check out family entertainment. The gazebo is inspired by the “stunning natural wonders found among the Bahamian beaches,” commonly called Triton’s Trumpet. Of course, it’s also named for the character from The Little Mermaid. For shopping opportunities, you can check out Treasures of Eleuthera, where there will be a retail shop with locally made gifts and artisan crafts.

There will also be an adults-only space on the island at Serenity Bay. Serenity Bay will be a retreat exclusive to adults ages 18 and older, with a tranquil beach experience with a dining area and private cabanas for reservation.
