Disney holiday gift card pin designs are here! All four designs will be available exclusively at Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

Since 2009, Disney has celebrated the holidays with a particularly special kind of souvenir. Instead of gifting your loved one a regular Disney gift card, each year Disney reveals new designs of their Disney holiday gift card pins. Each year, you can find a new pin set done with various Disney-inspired themes. For example, last year, the designer team created snow globe scenes with Mickey and Minnie, Buzz and the Little Green Aliens, Stitch and Angel, as well as Jack and Sally. Now, we have our first look at the 2023 designs, which are currently available at Disney Springs and will be widely available at Disney World and Disneyland Resort beginning November 14.

New Disney Holiday Gift Card Pin Designs

This year’s theme of the Disney holiday gift card pins is centered around Disney characters enjoying the holidays. For example, both Mickey and Minnie and Donald and Daisy are exchanging gifts. Tiana and Naveen are enjoying a winter day in front of Tiana’s Palace. And Moana is enjoying Christmas at the beach with friends Pua and Hei Hei, alongside a “snow” man.

The pins are each done with a storybook theme, where the characters are jumping off the page of a book. Senior Art Director Kristen Beals and Art Director Caroline Hopper were the team behind these new pins and gift card designs. Speaking on them, Kristen Beals said, “Broader representation was a big contributing factor for us, as well. We wanted to make sure all Disney fans could see their stories in these designs, so we incorporated classic characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Donald and Daisy Duck, in addition to new Disney royalty like Princess Tiana and Moana.”

Caroline Hopper spoke about the importance of getting to work on this beloved annual tradition. “For me, this is a full-circle moment. I’ve loved Disney pins for so many years and always admired how beautiful they are. I even collected and traded them when I visited the parks as a child with my family. Never in a million years did I think one day I would get to create the pins collectors proudly wear on their lanyards or display on their corkboards. It’s such a special feeling.”

Currently, the holiday gift card pins are available at select locations in Disney Springs but will be available at merchandise locations in Disney World and Disneyland beginning November 14. Disney gift cards can be used for purchases at participating locations at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, shopDisney.com, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Store locations in the United States, Disney on Broadway, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club beach resorts. A Disney gift card can be used to purchase theme park tickets and book Disney resort stays, making them a perfect gift for anyone booking a Disney vacation!
