Disney Genie+ reached a new record high price today. The bump happened alongside the popular spring break season, as well as the opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run today.
It’s a big day for Disney World. TRON Lightcycle / Run has officially opened to guests in Magic Kingdom, with options to ride through a virtual queue system as well as a paid Lightning Lane. Along with the ride’s opening, today also marked a record for the parks, with Disney Genie+ reaching a new record high price per person in the parks. Today, guests looking to purchase the service can do so at a cost of $35/per person.
Disney Genie+ allows guests to “skip the line,” a paid service that can be purchased per person, per day for the parks. The service gives you access to reserve your spot in a Lightning Lane (a.k.a., a faster option than stand-by) at a variety of rides in Disney World. When Disney Genie+ originally debuted, it cost a flat rate of $15/per person per day. However, this changed last year when Disney instead introduced surge pricing for Genie+. Now, the cost of the service changes per day, starting on the low end at $15/per person per day and ranging up to $35/per person per day, depending on the time of year. For example, during the slower season in the early fall, we saw more days that were on the lower end, but during the holidays and spring break, that price jumped substantially.

$35/per person per day is the highest price we’ve seen recorded so far for Disney Genie+ in Disney World. Previously, the highest price had been during the Christmas season, when we frequently saw the service at $29 a day. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the pricing and update you as we see any changes. In the meantime, make sure to check out all of your Disney Genie+ coverage to learn more about the service!
