Let’s talk Disneyland Individual Lightning Lanes. Do you know which rides are pay-to-play? These are the rides formerly known as Individual Attraction Selections. With the debut of Genie+ at Disneyland, guests can skip the lines at many popular rides… for a price. So, what’s the deal with Individual Lighting Lanes and how will they affect the way you navigate a typical park day? Keep reading for the full list of Disneyland Individual Lightning Lanes.
What’s the Difference Between Genie+ Lightning Lanes and Individual Lightning Lanes?

Full Disneyland Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions
Lightning Lanes at Disneyland
Disney Genie+ at Disneyland costs $25 per person per day. For that price, you can skip the long lines at 12 Lightning Lane attractions at Disneyland Park and seven Lightning Lane attractions at Disney’s California Adventure.
With Genie+ in your pocket, you can save a spot for one attraction at a time throughout the whole day. If unused, you can book a second Lightning Lane two hours after booking your previous attraction.
Individual Lightning Lanes at Disneyland
In addition to Lightning Lanes, there’s also an Individual Lightning Lane component of Disney Genie. Confused? Allow us to explain.
With this service, you’ll pay individually to use Lightning Lanes at a specific time. Just like at Walt Disney World, the Disneyland Individual Lightning Lanes are given to the resort’s most popular rides. While Genie+ allows you to book multiple Lightning Lane times throughout the day, you’re capped at just one with an Individual Lightning Lane. You’ll pay for a priority entry time slot for one ride at one specific time only.
Additionally, Individual Lightning Lanes are not included in the price of Genie+ and must be paid for separately. On the flip side, you also don’t need to pay for Genie+ to use Disneyland Individual Lightning Lanes. You can opt to purchase Individual Lightning Lane entry alone – and you can purchase it for solely the rides you want to skip the line for.
Note: Over at the Most Magical Place On Earth, Disney World will offer Genie+ for $15 per person per day. That’ll give guests the power to cut the long lines on around 50 rides across the four parks using Lightning Lanes.

How Much Do Individual Attractions Cost?

It’s important to remember that the cost of Individual Lightning Lanes will fluctuate. Factors like what ride it is, the day of your trip, and other Disney algorithm variables will all determine the price to ride an Individual Lightning Lane attraction.
For a bit of a practical example, our editorial director tested out a couple of options while she was at Disney World. Here’s what she found when she compared two Individual Lightning Lane rides on two different days:
Rise of the Resistance Individual Lightning Lane Price
- Tuesday, Oct. 19: $15 per person
- Saturday, Oct. 23: $15 per person
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Individual Lightning Lane Price
- Tuesday, Oct. 19: $10 per person
- Saturday, Oct. 23: $12 per person
Based on this experiment, a family of four would need to pay $60 total to use the Lightning Lane at Rise of the Resistance. Keep in mind that because pricing is dynamic and demand-based, it can increase if the park is busy or there’s a particularly high demand for the attraction in question. On the busiest days and during the most crowded seasons, Individual Lightning Lane entry prices can rise to as much as $20 or more per person, per ride.

While it’s true that Disneyland Genie+ costs $5 more per person, per day than at Disney World, for access to fewer Lightning Lane attractions, there are some additional Genie+ benefits as well as a Disneyland-exclusive PhotoPass perk.
