The holiday celebrations officially return to Disney California Adventure in 2023! This year, the Disney Festival of Holidays will be taking place from November 10th, 2023 to January 7th, 2024, and there’s so much to see, do, and eat! We don’t want you to miss a thing, so we’re bringing you a complete guide to the celebrations with details on food markets, character meet and greets, holiday dance parties, and more.

What is the Disney Festival of Holidays? It’s the biggest holiday celebration at Disneyland Resort. Located in Disney California Adventure, the park gets decked out for the season with festive holiday decorations. Throughout the festival, you can enjoy special live performances, holiday-themed eats and drinks at Food Markets stationed throughout the park, and a holiday version of the World of Color nighttime show. If you’re visiting Disneyland over the holidays, this is a must-do!

What are the dates for the Disney Festival of Holidays?

The 2023 Disney Festival of Holidays begins at Disney California Adventure on November 10th, 2023, and runs all the way through January 7th, 2024.

Where is the Disney Festival of Holidays?

Disney Festival of Holidays takes place at Disney California Adventure Park. Food Markets, activities, and entertainment can be found throughout the entire park.

How much does the Disneyland Festival of the Holidays cost?

Disney Festival of the Holidays is included in the cost of your park ticket. So, you can enjoy the festive season in the park at no additional cost.

  • If you’re a Magic Key Holder, attending the 2023 Festival of Holidays costs nothing (dependent on blockout dates)
  • If you’re purchasing a theme park ticket, the cost for a standard one-park ticket to Disney California Adventure Park ranges from $104 to $179 depending on the date you visit.

Keep in mind that food and drink at the Food Markets are an additional cost and vary in price depending on what you order.

How much is the Festival of Holidays Sip and Savor Pass?

The Festival of Holidays Sip and Savor Pass is a convenient way to pay for festival food and drink if you plan on purchasing a lot during your visit. For one price, the pass includes 8 “coupons” that can be redeemed at festival Food Markets throughout the park. Each “coupon” is good for one food item or non-alcoholic beverage.

In 2022, the Sip and Savor Pass was $59.99 plus tax. Disney has not yet announced the price for 2023, so stay tuned for updates.

Note that Sip and Savor Pass “coupons” can be redeemed throughout the length of the festival regardless of when you purchase it.

What’s New at the 2023 Disney Festival of Holidays

So far, Disney has shared that “new and returning favorite food and beverage items” will be coming to this year. We are waiting for Disney to release additional details about the Food Market offerings and more, so stay tuned for updates!

2023 Disney Festival of Holidays Food Markets

One of the biggest highlights of the Festival of Holidays in Disney California Adventure is the Festive Foods Marketplace! Set up throughout the entire park, each food kiosk features small plates and drinks that are themed to represent the ways that people celebrate the holidays around the world.

Mickey’s Happy Holidays

Disney has confirmed that Mickey and his pals will be taking to Main Street U.S.A. for Mickey’s Happy Holidays in 2023! This is a short parade that traditionally happens a few times per day where you’re invited to dance along to holiday music with Mickey and other Disney and Pixar friends. 

The Holiday Toy Drummers will also return as part of the parade.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party

Located at Paradise Gardens Park, the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party returns in 2023. The dance party includes live performances of Mexican folklórico dancers, mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers, and percussionists. Plus, it includes giant mojiganga puppets of Santa and Mrs. Claus. You can also expect to see some of your favorite Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Three Kings Day

On January 6th, 2024 only, Disney California Adventure celebrates Three Kings Day. Taking place in Paradise Gardens Park, the event honors the 3 Wise Men’s visit to the nativity with unique decor and photo opportunities for guests.

World of Color — Season of Light

Disney has confirmed that the special holiday version of World of Color – Season of Light will be back at Disney California Adventure. Featuring holiday tunes blended with iconic moments from Disney and Pixar movies and the iconic dancing fountains and lighting effects, you’re sure to be wow-ed by this limited-time show.

Disney Character Sightings

Throughout the park, you’ll notice that the characters are dressed in their holiday best, and this year, more Disney friends are coming out to celebrate! Disney has shared that guests will also be able to meet Mirabel from Encanto and Santa at Disney California Adventure this year.

Holiday Ride Overlays

Two attractions are getting a holiday makeover in Disney California Adventure! Over in Cars Land, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree is transformed into Mater’s Jingle Jamboree with special decorations and original holiday tunes. Plus, Luigi’s Rollickin Roadsters turns into Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl! This iswhere you’ll hop in one of the colorful cars and partake in a coordinated dance to festive music.
