Disney World Celebrates First 50 Central Florida Students Selected for Disney Dreamers Academy

Disney Dreamers Academy is entering a new chapter, expanding its reach through a partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs to inspire hundreds of students across the country.

Walt Disney World is celebrating a new milestone for Disney Dreamers Academy! The resort recently joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida to recognize 50 local students selected for the program’s newest chapter, which will bring mentorship, career exploration, and leadership opportunities to even more young people.

For nearly 20 years, Disney Dreamers Academy has helped students explore their potential and pursue their goals through unique educational experiences. Now, Disney is expanding the program through a collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs, bringing those opportunities directly into communities across the country.

A New Chapter for Disney Dreamers Academy

The 50 Central Florida students gathered at the Boys & Girls Club Walt Disney World Clubhouse for a special kickoff celebration marking the beginning of their Disney Dreamers journey.

The event brought together Disney leaders, Boys & Girls Clubs representatives, and community partners for an evening of activities inspired by Walt Disney World’s four theme parks. Students also enjoyed special appearances from Disney characters and interactive experiences offering a glimpse of what’s ahead.

The Central Florida students are part of an inaugural class of 200 Disney Dreamers selected from participating Boys & Girls Clubs in Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, and Houston.

Beginning in 2027, the students will take part in a multi-year program featuring mentorship, career exploration, leadership development, and immersive experiences both in their local communities and at Walt Disney World Resort.

By partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs, Disney hopes to build on the program’s nearly two-decade legacy while reaching more students and providing opportunities that extend beyond a single visit to the parks.
