Don’t you just love shopping for souvenirs? For me, the hunt for a great trip souvenir is one of my favorite activities, especially on a Disney trip!
Recently, I set sail with my wife Steph (director of operations for the magazine) on our first Disney Cruise aboard the Disney Dream and we were blown away by the incredible shopping on board!
From housewares and collectibles to clothes and jewelry and beyond, the Disney Dream had an incredible selection of fun and unique souvenirs and shopping experiences to make the cruise extra magical.
We had the opportunity to tour some of the shops with Jaime from the merchandise team aboard the Disney Dream and he provided us with great insights into how Disney is always listening to customer feedback and watching the trends to make sure the stores are stocked with the hottest fashions and the perfect must-have souvenirs to remember your trip.
Nautical Navy Souvenirs
If you’ve been to a Disney park recently you’ve no doubt noticed wave after wave of themed colors hitting the shelves. From Millennial Pink to Potion Purple and Briar Rose Gold to Arendelle Aqua, Disney has been over the rainbow with these colorful collections.
Well, Disney Cruise isn’t going to be left behind and they’ve burst onto the color palette with their own signature color: Nautical Navy. This deep blue with rose gold accents is EVERYWHERE aboard the ships.
Spirit Jerseys? Check! Lanyards? Check! Loungefly Backpacks? Check! Mickey Ears? You know it! I’m pretty sure you could deck yourself out in head to toe Nautical Navy and we’re here for it! Between the sequins, the bow, and the little anchor details the Nautical Navy collection was the MUST-HAVE collection of the cruise.
The nautical fun doesn’t stop there though, Mickey and the gang are all getting into the spirit of the high seas. First Mate Donald in his nautical attire is just perfect! Check him out in both plush form and Loungefly backpack form.
Nautical Navy merch is ONLY available on the Disney Cruise Line. Want to add some to your wardrobe? Get in touch with our partners at Destinations to Travel today for a free quote and find out how you could be sailing with Disney Cruise Line in 2020 and beyond!
Or who could resist this Captain Mickey plush doll – one of our favorite souvenirs of the trip!
Tiffany & Co.
If you’re looking for a keepsake that will truly last a lifetime then the Disney Dream has something very special in store for you. Newly opened, the Disney Dream is the second Disney Cruise ship to have it’s own Tiffany & Co. store!
This gorgeous store has stunning displays and an amazing collection of Tiffany & Co. jewelry. In addition to classic Tiffany pieces they have an exclusive Disney Cruise Line heart necklace and a brand new – only available on the high seas – Castaway Cay charm.
This is an absolute showstopper and sure to be an incredible memento from an unforgettable trip. If all of that wasn’t enough, the Tiffany store is equipped with engraving facilities and can customize your purchase same-day aboard the ship.
Disney Cruise Line Souvenirs
Maybe you’re looking for something a little more practical on your trip? Well, Disney has you covered there too! We picked up these U/V blocking, Spirit Jersey style, swim shirts the night before our Castaway Cay day so we could spend all day having fun in the sun. Not only are they practical, they look great and are a perfect souvenir from the cruise and our magical day on the island!
Last, and certainly not least, is the limited edition cruise merchandise. We were sailing during a Very Merrytime Cruise which meant it was holiday magic everywhere you turned! These Merrytime Cruise exclusive shirts are equal parts nautical and festive and we absolutely adore the design. A special, themed, item like this is a great way to bring home a piece of the magic from your Disney Cruise.
Shopping aboard the Disney Cruise Line was a treat for us and I know we will cherish the souvenirs we brought home and all the amazing memories they bring with them.
Thanks to Disney for inviting us on a #DisneyCruise this month! We sailed on the Disney Dream from November 18th to 22nd, 2019 on a Very Merrytime Cruise. Opinions here are our own. #DisneyCruiseLife
