In honor of 25 years, Disney Cruise Line is launching the Silver Anniversary at Sea. Learn more about all the magic coming in 2023. 

2023 is a big year for the Walt Disney Company. Besides celebrating the “Disney 100 Years of Wonder,” Disney Cruise Line is also celebrating another major milestone, their 25 Year Anniversary. Debuting back in July of 1998, with just one ship, the Disney Magic, over the last 25 years Disney Cruise Line has become renowned for their hospitality, entertainment, and storytelling at sea.

In honor of its 25th anniversary in 2023, Disney Cruise Line will launch special entertainment, merchandise, and experiences to select sailings from May through September of 2023. Deemed the “Silver Anniversary at Sea,” all five Disney Cruise Line ships will partake in the festivities.

Summer Sailing Surprises

In honor of the 25th Anniversary, guests on the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and the brand-new Disney Wish, will see eye-catching decor, enhancements, new entertainment, and other surprises during this special event.

Captain Mickey & Minnie

Of course, our Captains Mickey and Minnie will be dressed for the occasion. Their outfits will feature multi-toned fabric that shimmers and shines like the ocean waves. They will appear in their celebratory best during the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” sailings in the summer of 2023.  

Sounds of Celebration

DCL will also introduce a special, signature song for the event. Nostalgia and new family adventures will be the theme for this song which will pop-up in a variety of ways during the summer sailings.

Entertainment & Food

Entertainment, experiences, and food will be a special part of the anniversary celebration. From special evening experiences to culinary creations, desserts, and specialty cocktails, the sea has no limits. 

Merchandise

To commemorate the special sailings, DCL will debut the Shimmering Seas Collection which features a new signature color just for the event. This color is inspired by the glow of sunshine reflecting on the turquoise waters. Guests can pick up apparel, accessories, drinkware, and more. 

Castaway Club Membership Tier Surprise

In honor of this special milestone, DCL is also introducing a new membership tier, which recognizes returning guests. Members will now earn the distinction of Pearl status after 25 Disney Cruise Line vacations.

More will be announced in 2023 regarding the new at-home and onboard benefits that come with the Pearl status. 

The Voyages

In early 2020, the Disney Fantasy will continue sailing guest-favorite itineraries to the Bahamas and Caribbean from Port Canaveral, Florida, including sailings that stop at the beautiful and vibrant island of Tortola. (Kent Phillips, photographer)

“Silver Anniversary at Sea” sailings will visit the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Europe, and Alaska during summer 2023. Here’s a glimpse of the sailings:

• May 24 through September 4– Departing Miami, the Disney Magic will visit the Bahamas and Caribbean including DCL’s private island, Castaway Cay
• May 15 through September 11– Departing Vancouver, Canada the Disney Wonder will sail Alaska voyages visiting Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, and more
• May 7 through September 17– the Disney Dream will sail both transatlantic and European sailings with visits to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the Greek Isles
• May 6 through September 2– Departing Port Canaveral, the Disney Fantasy will visit the Eastern and Western Caribbean with a day in Castaway Cay
• May 1 through September 8– Departing Port Canaveral, the all-new Disney Wish, will visit Nassau in the Bahamas and Castaway Cay
