Christmas in July: Disney Christmas Style Takes Over Instagram

Christmas in July Style

That’s me in the llama (Kuzco??) Christmas sweater with WDW Magazine Managing Editor (and my mom), Rain Blanken above, eating too much popcorn at Magic Kingdom last holiday season.

I love Christmas so much, the decorations start to go up while the Thanksgiving turkey is still hot. That includes dusting off the ugly Christmas sweaters and striped leggings. But on Instagram, we all started even earlier this year!

We unwrapped a joyful Christmas in July here at WDW Magazine, with our Christmas Photo Book, Disney Christmas cookie recipes, and make-your-own Disney Christmas at home. But our halls are still decked until July 31st, so we’re celebrating Christmas in July one more time with some festive Christmas Disney Style and Disneybounds!

🎄Disneybounds of Christmas Past

Aside from outright holiday Disneybounds and North Pole style, Disney fans were posting old Christmas photos all month long!

Including mom, @rainblanken, and my stepdad, Todd. They were soaking in the vintage Christmas last year at Hollywood Studios and now the vintage decor is so appropriate: it feels like ages ago!

How did she coordinate her ears to match the Hollywood Studios Christmas light frame?

Last Christmas, tartan weaves were all the rage, as evidenced here by Kristen Lee’s throwback post! But… this isn’t just a human skirt … it’s a Christmas tree skirt! Well, I guess now it’s both.

⛄ Halfway to Holiday Magic

We saw a lot of outfits worn in the parks from past Christmas celebrations, as well as fresh styles, due in part to @mouseketeeric’s #halfwaytoholidaymagic challenge!

Here, @kirk_a_cola wears his best red holiday pants, posing with @andrewclemmons in his Scrooge Disneybound:

And @disneyallday3 posted her amazing Jack Skellington skirt worn outside Haunted Mansion. Can you believe she made this skirt and ears?

❄️ Frozen in July

Earlier this month, we covered @the.pixie.gypsy’s challenge, #FrozeninJuly2020, to show off all the chilly looks from enthusiastic Instagrammers! Check out these icy styles:

🍭 Candy Christmas

If there is one holiday tradition I love, it’s the food! I also love when style combines with Disney snacks, so candy and cookie Christmas Disneybounds are a real treat.

@erinleger brought some sweet gingerbread-inspired style to the official halfway-to-Christmas date, July 25th:

The aforementioned #halfwaytoholidaymagic challenge has one very special day: holiday eats & treats! This minty creation by @jensohappy brought the sugar and the Ariel vibes to our Christmas in July celebration!

Did you know that we share Disneybounds and Disney style from Instagrammers like you each month in WDW Magazine? Sign up for our print edition, and check out our special Christmas Photo Book to close out your Christmas in July with a bang!

It’s no surprise that Disney Christmas style took over Instagram this month. We’re all pretty stressed out this summer, so a quick escape is to look back on those chilly months of presents and songs.

Even if it is lived through a llama Christmas sweater.

🎄Merry Christmas (in July)!🎄
