Meeting characters at Walt Disney World brings me back to when I was a kid. There is this childlike adrenaline I experience when I go into Disney character meet-and-greets.
Whether it’s getting a bear hug from Winnie-the-Pooh, or making fish faces with Ariel, I instantly return to my age when I first visited WDW in 1996.
The first place I go to when I am in need of a pick-me-up is Disney World. Now that visiting the parks isn’t an option I have been able to fall down the rabbit hole of YouTube videos—in a good way!
Here are a few YouTube videos of Disney character meet-and-greets that are sure to put a smile on your face!
Characters at Aulani!
Good news! If you’re going to Disney’s Aulani there’s a 100% chance that Mickey and the gang will also be on a Hawaiian vacation!
Lucky you! That means you’re able to snap some pics and make great memories with the fab five, as well as some extra special characters that don’t usually hang out at WDW.
Check out our video featuring all of the characters you can meet at Aulani!
Nonna Sees Pinocchio
The Festival of Fantasy Parade is the best place for you to see characters that don’t regularly meet at Disney World. Prince Charming, Prince Naveen, Flynn Rider, and many more characters are only featured in the parade—meaning no meet-and-greets.
The parade is especially wonderful when you have a favorite character you want to see, and they don’t meet in the parks. You’ll at least have a good chance of seeing them in the parade!
When I took my Nonna to Disney World for her 80th birthday she had her heart set on meeting Pinocchio.
Pinocchio is one of those characters that doesn’t have scheduled meet-and-greets, but you’re guaranteed to see our favorite wooden puppet on his very own parade float.
When she finally saw Pinocchio sitting on top of the whale, she was so happy, and I got it on camera. I wanted to film Nonna having fun at WDW so that we could show the rest of our family. Once I reviewed the footage and saw how much joy Pinocchio brought to her, I knew I had to share it online!
Check it out for yourself. It was nice to see that we’re all just really big kids, no matter how old!
Park-Wide Character Hunt
This channel is pretty special! It’s called Three Generations at Disney, and it’s exactly what it sounds like. The channel features the adventures of this awesome family having fun at WDW! Many of their videos feature events and Disney character meet-and-greets.
The video below follows the family’s resort-wide character hunt where they found 26 characters! From Mickey Mouse to Storm Troopers, they covered it all!
Malia Meets Merida
You can always tell when little kids are fresh out of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Their hair is perfect, the dress isn’t crinkled, and they are absolutely glowing with excitement. I love being able to see kids who are dressed up as their favorite princess go and meet their favorite princess.
In this video, a little girl named Malia meets Merida, and the interaction melted my heart. It is so sweet when magical moments like this are captured on camera.
It’s great for the family to revisit these memories, but it’s also great for someone like me who finds so much joy in this kind of experience!
Below is a video of Malia meeting many characters at Disneyland! I hope you enjoy all the warm fuzzy feelings from here adventure—I sure did!
This Voice Actor Does Impressions of the Disney Characters he Meets!
Voice actor, Brian Hull, met quite a few characters at Disneyland—and he brought a little bit of magic to these meet-and-greets!
Brian Hull is exceptionally good at impressions, and when he met the characters at Disney, he would speak to them in their own voice! During his day at Disney he met Donald, Goofy, Alice, The Mad Hatter, Pooh Bear, and Tigger, and of course, Mickey Mouse.
This video is so sweet to watch, and you can see that the magic being created here is two-sided.
We don’t know how long the parks are going to be closed, but we have enough content on our own YouTube channel to keep the magic alive in all of us. Make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel for WDW videos!
Take advantage of the short wait times, and see all of your favorite Disney characters (on YouTube at least)!
