The Disney Believe will set sail on December 18, 2027, with the first Encanto stage adaptation, a new Frozen family dining experience, and a Magic Kingdom-inspired Tower Suite. Here’s everything we know about Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship.
Another new Disney Cruise Line ship is on the horizon! The Disney Believe will become the ninth ship in the fleet when it sets sail on its maiden voyage on December 18, 2027. And now that Disney has revealed its restaurants, entertainment, youth spaces, and accommodations, we have a much clearer picture of what guests will find onboard.
Disney first announced the ship’s name during the 2026 Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting. Since then, reveals from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event and an October 7 announcement have introduced everything from a Moana-inspired Grand Hall to an entirely new chapter in the world of Frozen.
The ship will sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with general bookings opening October 19, 2026. Here’s everything we know about the Disney Believe so far.
Disney Believe Overview
The Disney Believe will be the fourth ship in Disney Cruise Line’s Wish class, joining the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny.
Like its sister ships, the Disney Believe will have its own overarching theme: promise and possibility. Its design and experiences will celebrate characters who believe in something greater than themselves, from Moana’s belief in nature to Mirabel’s belief in magic and the importance of family in the Frozen films.
Stories represented throughout the ship will include Moana, Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Little Mermaid, Zootopia, Tangled, Monsters, Inc., and more. The ship is being built at the Meyer Werft shipyard, with Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney Imagineering, and Disney Live Entertainment developing its onboard experiences.
When Will the Disney Believe Set Sail?
The Disney Believe will begin sailing on December 18, 2027, from its home port at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. It will offer four- and five-night cruises to the Caribbean and The Bahamas, with stops at one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
General bookings open October 19, 2026. We’ll continue updating this guide with more information about individual sailings and ports of call as it becomes available.
Disney Believe Grand Hall Will Be Inspired by Moana
The Grand Hall serves as the central gathering space aboard Disney Cruise Line’s Wish-class ships, with each vessel using a different Disney story as its inspiration. On the Disney Believe, that story will be Moana, with an architectural meeting of the sky and sea celebrating exploration and the power of nature.

Influences from the film’s Pacific Islands setting will appear throughout the space. An ocean-hued carpet will incorporate bioluminescent colors, while a chandelier modeled after the sea’s fluid movement will have the heart of Te Fiti hidden within its design.
At the center of the Grand Hall will be a statue of Moana, Pua, and Heihei, welcoming guests as they begin their voyage. Together, the characters and ocean-inspired details will connect this central space to the ship’s broader theme of looking toward new horizons.
Disney Believe Restaurants and Dining
The Disney Believe will feature three main rotational dining restaurants: Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, 1923, and Worlds of Marvel. A new Frozen experience will join two returning Wish-class venues, giving guests a mix of familiar favorites and a restaurant created specifically for the ship.
Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast
Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast will introduce an untold chapter in the Frozen story. Set in a sommerhus courtyard deep within the forest, the restaurant will bring guests together for a meal hosted by Oaken and his family, with familiar characters including Anna and Kristoff.

Music will be part of the experience, too. Oaken’s cousins will perform their own reimagined versions of songs from the Frozen soundtracks while guests dine. Disney has not yet released a full food menu, but the setting and entertainment establish this as a new experience within the Frozen universe.
1923
Returning from the other Wish-class ships, 1923 will celebrate Disney animation through more than 1,000 drawings, props, and animation tools from the Walt Disney Archives. Stories highlighted throughout the restaurant will include Lilo & Stitch, Alice in Wonderland, Toy Story, and Peter Pan.
Worlds of Marvel
Worlds of Marvel will also return, featuring Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix. Rocket and Groot will join the experience as families dine to an “awesome mix,” bringing a music-filled Marvel meal to the ship’s rotational lineup.
Inside Out: Joyful Sweets
Riley’s emotions will take over Inside Out: Joyful Sweets, a sweet shop styled after their command center. The space will feature larger-than-life sculptures of Joy, Sadness, Anxiety, and Envy, along with the Sense of Self structure from Inside Out 2.

After dinner on the Disney Believe, families can create new memories and choose from specialty sweet treats, available for purchase, at Inside Out: Joyful Sweets. (Disney)
The reimagined menu will include nearly 20 flavors of gelato and ice cream, daily handcrafted gelato specials, and a colorful selection of signature sweets. These specialty treats will be available for purchase, so plan for an additional cost if you want to stop in for dessert.
Disney Believe Cafés and Quick-Service Dining
Two new cafés and a returning collection of upper-deck food stalls will give guests more options for coffee, snacks, and casual meals throughout the day.
Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora
Big Hero Sips will be a warm, inviting coffee shop inspired by San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6. Café Kakamora, named after the coconut creatures from Moana, will draw inspiration from Motunui. Both cafés will serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods
On the upper decks, Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods will return as an open-air food court with themed stalls serving barbecue, cantina bowls and salads, pizza, burgers, and soft-serve ice cream.
The Disney Believe will add an exclusive new option: Pluto’s Pita Platters. This Mediterranean-inspired stall will serve kebabs and pitas with an assortment of garnishes and dips, expanding the quick-service choices beyond the returning favorites.
Disney Believe Bars and Lounges
The Disney Believe will introduce new adult venues inspired by classic Disney stories, alongside a returning Haunted Mansion bar with a menu created specifically for the ship.
Sea Notes
Sea Notes will be an iridescent piano lounge inspired by Ariel’s grotto from The Little Mermaid. Its centerpiece will be a pearlescent piano imagined as one of the forgotten treasures in Ariel’s collection, surrounded by contemporary design and whimsical details from the film.

Guests will enjoy nostalgic melodies while sipping cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages from a specially crafted menu. The concept gives the ship a piano bar with an unmistakably undersea setting.
Wishing Well
Wishing Well will bring guests into a vintage storybook inspired by the 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The centrally located lounge will evoke a castle courtyard beneath white blossoms and red apples, with furnishings in the bold colors of Snow White’s gown.

Adults will step into a vintage storybook at Wishing Well, a centrally located gathering space taking cues from Disney Animation’s 1939 film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” (Disney)
Hand-carved wood framing around the stage will nod to the Seven Dwarfs’ cottage, while an ornate bar with stained-glass artwork will evoke a gothic castle. Throughout each sailing, the lounge will host activities and live musical performances, serving mocktails, cocktails, spirits, and coffees.
Skygazers
Skygazers will be an observatory-themed pub designed as an astronomer’s laboratory. Towering bookshelves, astronomical instruments, and celestial maps will fill the space, with props and references drawn from classic Disney stories.

On the Disney Believe, Skygazers will be a venue where time stands still. Within this magical observatory-themed pub, dreamers and wish-makers will gather beneath the story-filled evening sky. (Disney)
Guests will be able to watch live sports broadcasts while sampling a themed menu of custom-made craft brews, specialty cocktails, and light bites. It’s another new venue where the ship’s storytelling will extend into both the design and the menu.
Haunted Mansion Parlor
The Haunted Mansion Parlor will return aboard the Disney Believe, bringing an immersive bar inspired by the Disney Parks attraction to another ship. This version will feature an all-new menu of craft cocktails and mocktails developed exclusively for the Disney Believe.
Disney Believe Adult-Exclusive Dining and Experiences
Adults will also find a returning collection of dining, relaxation, and wellness spaces. The ship’s Beauty and the Beast-inspired premium dining suite will include Palo Steakhouse, combining a steakhouse experience with modern Italian cuisine; Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, featuring French-inspired fine dining and a menu developed by the three-Michelin-starred chef; and The Rose, a lounge for pre- or post-dinner cocktails.
On the upper decks, Quiet Cove will offer an adult retreat with a stern infinity pool, whirlpool spas, a bar, and a café. Senses Spa will provide spa and beauty treatments, while Sense Fitness will offer exercise and wellness facilities.
For additional pampering, Untangled Salon will feature Tangled-inspired surroundings and hairstyling and beauty services. Hook’s Barbery will offer cuts, shaves, and a hidden bar as part of its take on a traditional men’s salon.
Entertainment on the Disney Believe
Disney has confirmed all three Broadway-style productions coming to the Walt Disney Theatre: Disney Encanto, Tangled: The Musical, and Disney Seas the Adventure.
Disney Encanto
Disney Encanto will debut exclusively aboard the Disney Believe as the world’s first stage adaptation of the film. The production will follow Mirabel as she tries to save her family and their miraculous home.

Inspired by diverse Colombian cultures, the show will incorporate vibrant costumes, creative scenic design, and traditional dance styles. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s songs from the movie will be part of the production, including “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.”
Tangled: The Musical
Tangled: The Musical, already performed aboard the Disney Magic, will join the Disney Believe lineup with reimagined set design and special effects exclusive to the new ship. Guests will be able to experience the returning musical with a fresh theatrical treatment.
Disney Seas the Adventure
Disney Seas the Adventure will round out the theater lineup. This original Wish-class production features familiar Disney and Pixar characters alongside iconic songs.
Gazelle: A Zootopia-Inspired Entertainment Hub
Gazelle will bring the bustling world of Zootopia aboard the Disney Believe. During the day, the entertainment hub will host family trivia, games, and immersive character encounters. At night, it will shift to adult-exclusive entertainment, including silent discos and variety acts.

Beyond the Walt Disney Theatre on the Disney Believe, guests will discover Gazelle, an entertainment hub inspired by the bustling metropolis from Disney Animation’s “Zootopia” films. (Disney)
For the first time aboard Disney Cruise Line, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will star in a new family show, asking guests to help solve their latest case. That gives Gazelle a dedicated interactive experience alongside its broader schedule of activities.
Deck Parties, Family Activities, and Movies
Several returning Disney Cruise Line experiences have also been confirmed for the Disney Believe:
- Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party: A nighttime spectacular featuring a live rock band and Disney Cruise Line’s fireworks at sea.
- Hero Zone: A futuristic sports arena with games, free-play sports, and family competitions.
- Disney Uncharted Adventure: An interactive experience that uses guests’ mobile devices to unlock hidden quests throughout the ship.
- Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas: Boutique theaters with complimentary screenings of classic and first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and more.
Together, these experiences will give families activities beyond the main theater, from an evening deck celebration to movies and interactive adventures throughout the ship.
Disney Believe Pools and AquaMouse
The upper decks will feature three districts with water attractions, casual dining, and places to relax. In the Mickey and Friends-themed family district, guests will find seven pools across tiered decks, lounge chairs in sunny and shaded areas, and a jumbo screen showing Disney films, live sports, and more.
AquaMouse
Disney Cruise Line’s AquaMouse will return with a 760-foot-long water ride that brings riders into a Mickey Mouse animated short. Aboard the Disney Believe, Mickey and Minnie will embark on “Port Adventures,” with stories including Swiss Meltdown and Sing a Silly Song.
Toy Story Water Play Area
Families with toddlers and young children will have a Toy Story-themed water play area with a splash zone, wading pool, family waterslide, and smoothie bar. Adults looking for a quieter pool setting will find the separate Quiet Cove district.
Kids, Tween, and Teen Spaces on the Disney Believe
Disney has now confirmed the ship’s youth spaces, with programming led by Disney-trained counselors and dedicated areas for children, tweens, and teens.
Disney’s Oceaneer Club
For ages 3 to 10, Disney’s Oceaneer Club will include five themed areas: Marvel Super Hero Academy, Fairytale Hall, Star Wars: Cargo Bay, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, and Mickey and Minnie’s Captain’s Deck.
Exclusive to the Disney Believe, the entrance will be inspired by Monstropolis from Monsters, Inc. Kids will enter—or slide—into the club through a space featuring “Caution: 2319” tape and a figure of Mike Wazowski with his laugh canister.
It’s a Small World Nursery
It’s a Small World Nursery will provide babysitting services for children 6 months to 3 years old. The space will take inspiration from the classic Disney attraction, with a whimsical environment for the ship’s youngest cruisers.
Edge, Vibe, and The Hideaway
Edge, for ages 11 to 13, will be a colorful hangout inspired by a New York City loft, with games and opportunities to make friends. Vibe, for ages 14 to 17, will feature a Parisian-style loft where teens can watch movies, play games, and participate in group activities.
The Hideaway will provide another hangout for older kids, with a dance floor and DJ booth for relaxing or celebrating together.
Disney Believe Staterooms and Suites
The Disney Believe will feature new papercut-style artwork inspired by stories including Moana, Coco, and The Lion King. The accommodations will carry the ship’s theme into spaces designed around imagination, courage, and finding your voice.
All staterooms will offer ample storage, with most featuring Disney Cruise Line’s split-bath design, roomy closets, and elevated beds with under-bed storage. Seventy percent will have a verandah, and the ship will feature more than 450 connecting doors to help accommodate larger families.
Concierge Accommodations
Concierge guests will have dedicated service and access to a private sun deck and an Alice in Wonderland-themed Concierge Lounge, with complimentary food and beverage offerings. Concierge staterooms and suites will feature artwork inspired by Peter Pan, while seven special oceanview rooms will take inspiration from Toy Story and offer floor-to-ceiling views.
Royal Reef and Royal Rose Suites
The ship’s four royal suites will draw inspiration from two Disney films. Royal Reef Suites, themed to The Little Mermaid, will incorporate oceanic teal, coral pink, scalloped shell details, pearlescent and driftwood finishes, and glowing nautical lighting.
Royal Rose Suites will take cues from Beauty and the Beast and a French palace. Bedroom designs will draw from Belle and the Beast, with gold and blue touches, deep sapphire tones, and a rose motif throughout.
Believe Tower Suite
Exclusive to the ship, the Believe Tower Suite will be inspired by Magic Kingdom. Located within the forward funnel, the nearly 2,000-square-foot, two-story suite will sleep eight guests, with two main bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.
Each room will take inspiration from a different themed land, while the living room will feature fireworks- and balloon-inspired lighting and artwork depicting Cinderella Castle. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows will look out over the top decks and toward the horizon, giving this suite a setting unlike the ship’s other accommodations.
Woody and Buzz Lightyear Will Appear on the Disney Believe Stern
Every Disney Cruise Line ship features character artwork on its stern, and the Disney Believe will continue that tradition with Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. The larger-than-life sculptures will show the pair working together to write the ship’s name using giant yellow crayons.

There’s another departure from Disney Cruise Line tradition here: instead of the familiar looping script used on other ships, “Disney Believe” will appear in playful block-style lettering inspired by Toy Story.
Tinker Bell Will Decorate the Disney Believe Bow
The ship’s hand-painted bow filigree will feature Tinker Bell as she appeared in the 1953 film Peter Pan. She’ll be joined by silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, and other characters flying through the swirling design.

Tinker Bell’s association with faith, trust, and pixie dust makes her a fitting choice for a ship built around belief. The artwork also continues the tradition of giving each Disney Cruise Line ship its own distinctive character at the bow.
What Will Make the Disney Believe Different?
Although the Disney Believe shares a class with the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny, its combination of stories will give it a distinct identity. The connecting idea is promise and possibility, expressed through characters pursuing their dreams and believing in magic, nature, family, and themselves.
That theme will appear in both major attractions and smaller details: Mirabel’s story onstage, a new family gathering in the world of Frozen, the heart of Te Fiti hidden in a chandelier, and a Tower Suite that celebrates Magic Kingdom. Returning venues will sit alongside new concepts, with some familiar experiences receiving designs or menus exclusive to this ship.
Disney Cruise Line Continues to Expand
The Disney Believe is part of Disney Cruise Line’s ongoing fleet expansion. Following the additions of the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny, and Disney Adventure, it will become the fleet’s ninth ship in December 2027.
Disney says the fleet will grow to 13 ships by late 2030. Its expansion plans include additional vessels and an agreement with Oriental Land Co. to bring Disney cruise vacations to Japan in 2029.
Disney Believe: The Latest Updates
October 7, 2026: Disney Reveals Dining, Entertainment, Accommodations, and Booking Date
Disney’s latest announcement has filled in much of the Disney Believe lineup, confirming Disney Encanto, the world’s first stage adaptation of the film, alongside Tangled: The Musical and Disney Seas the Adventure. It also revealed the three rotational restaurants: Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, 1923, and Worlds of Marvel.
Other highlights include Gazelle, a Zootopia-inspired entertainment hub; new cafés Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora; Pluto’s Pita Platters; new lounges Sea Notes, Wishing Well, and Skygazers; and the return of the Haunted Mansion Parlor with an exclusive menu.
Disney also confirmed pools, AquaMouse, youth spaces, stateroom themes, and the Magic Kingdom-inspired Believe Tower Suite. The ship will begin sailing December 18, 2027, from Port Everglades, with general bookings opening October 19, 2026.
October 5, 2026: Disney Believe Reaches Keel Laying Milestone
Construction on the Disney Believe continues to move forward at Meyer Werft Shipyard. Just weeks after the ship’s first gigablock floated out in mid-September, work is now underway on the second gigablock—and Disney Cruise Line has celebrated another major construction milestone with the ship’s keel laying ceremony.
The keel laying is a longstanding maritime tradition marking an important stage in a ship’s construction. During the ceremony, a specially crafted coin is temporarily placed beneath the ship’s keel, the structural backbone that runs along the center of the vessel from bow to stern. The tradition is meant to bring good fortune to the ship and everyone who will eventually sail aboard.
For the Disney Believe, Disney put its own spin on the tradition with a custom-minted coin featuring Tinker Bell. It’s an especially fitting choice, as Tinker Bell will also be featured in the character artwork adorning the bow of the Disney Believe.
The milestone comes as construction continues on the ship’s second gigablock. Once complete, the massive sections will eventually come together to form the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet.
September 18, 2026: Disney Believe’s First Gigablock Floats Out
Construction reached a major milestone for the Disney Believe on September 18, 2026, when the first of the ship’s three gigablocks floated out of the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
Gigablocks are enormous prefabricated sections of a cruise ship, built with components such as walls, plumbing, and wiring already in place. Once completed, the sections—which can weigh more than 31,000 tons—are welded together to form the finished vessel.
This first gigablock contains the Disney Believe’s midship section, including the Grand Hall. The forward section will be constructed next, followed by the aft, as work continues toward the ship’s December 2027 debut.
