After a year and a half absence due to COVID-19, the Dapper Dans return to Disneyland. Their official first appearance in the park was Sept. 3. Up to the pandemic, the Dapper Dans had been delivering musical fun to Disneyland since their first appearance in 1959.
The Dapper Dans quickly pivoted last year when the parks closed around the world, delivering virtual performances for Disney fans everywhere.
Their return is soon enough that they’ll be able to participate in Halloween Time at Disneyland, with spooky songs like “Grim Grinning Ghosts.”

“Halloween is definitely one of my favorite times of the year on Main Street,” remarked Dapper Dan Wesley Alfvin. “’Grim Grinning Ghosts’ is one of my favorite songs to sing because it has such a wonderful history here at the park with Haunted Mansion and Thurl Ravenscroft. I’ve always felt personally honored to step into his shoes a bit and sing the bass in the song.”
“It’s amazing to be reunited with friends and music makers,” said Dapper Dan Jason Guffey. “It’s a family and we’re all very close because it’s been many years of singing together.”
Keep your eyes peeled for the Dapper Dans the next time you’re strolling down Main Street, U.S.A.
