D23’s Destination D Fan Celebration
This weekend, Destination D attendees were among the first to learn about all the new and exciting things coming to Walt Disney World in the near future. Bob Chapek (Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman) provided details about some previously revealed experiences and also announced a few ones. We’re here to give you the scoop!

Nature-Inspired Resort Coming to Bay Lake
Earlier this fall, it was announced that a nature-inspired resort will be coming to Bay Lake. At Destination D, Bob Chapek revealed that the name for the resort will be Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, and will feature over 900 rooms and Disney Vacation Club villas.
EPCOT’s Transformation Continues
It’s well-known at this point that EPCOT is going through some major changes over the new few years. Bob Chapek revealed a few more details about what’s to come.
The name of the previously announced “Ratatouille” attraction being constructed in the France pavilion will be Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Bob Chapek also announced that a new “Beauty and the Beast” sing-along attraction will also be added to the pavilion. Don’t worry, it will not be replacing “Impressions de France”.
The biggest EPCOT news is, of course, about what will be replacing IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth next year. Bob Chapek revealed that a temporary nighttime show called EPCOT Forever will run in 2019 while Imagineers put the finishing touches on the still-unnamed nighttime spectacular that will be the permanent replacement. EPCOT Forever will feature classic EPCOT music, along with fireworks, lighting, lasers, and special effects and will begin its limited-time run Fall 2019.
Although a name was not revealed for IllumiNations’ permanent replacement, Bob Chapek did share some concept art. This new show will feature massive floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics and lasers. It is set to begin its run in 2020.

New Experiences Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be getting a new nighttime projection show on the Chinese Theater next year. This new show will use Disney’s state-of-the-art projection-mapping technology to take guests on a journey through 90 years of Disney animation. Bob Chapek revealed that the name of the show will be Wonderful World of Animation and will begin May 2019 as a part of Hollywood Studios’ 30th anniversary. Take a look at the concept art above!
