Big changes are coming to D23 memberships for 2026, with “Disney twenty-three” magazine slated to shutter.
Your D23 membership is about to change, whether you’re an existing member or new member planning to enroll in the coming months. Below, we’re highlighting all of the changes D23 members need to know – including big news about the company’s Disney twenty-three magazine.
Disney twenty-three Magazine to End in 2026
For years, Disney twenty-three magazine has been the flagship print product of D23 membership. The print magazine has been part of the membership program since it first launched in 2009. But starting in 2026, D23 members will no longer be able to get their hands on copies of Disney twenty-three magazine.
That’s because Disney is shutting down Disney twenty-three magazine.
Current D23 Gold Members are being notified via email about this update (you’ll want to keep an eye out for an email about the updated 2026 membership terms). The information has also been shared on the official D23 website, which states: “Beginning January 1, 2026, Disney will no longer produce any digital or printed versions of the Disney twenty-three publication (“Publication”) and as such, the Publication shall no longer be included in any membership plan.”
This means that the winter 2025 issue of Disney twenty-three, which features Avatar: Fire and Ash and Percy Jackson and the Olympians, will be the final issue.
This isn’t the first time Disney twenty-three magazine has seen a significant change. In 2025, the magazine went digital, and print issues of the magazine were only available for purchase as separate products on DisneyStore.com.
Now, Disney twenty-three magazine will end its run entirely.
What Does D23 Membership Look Like Now?
With Disney twenty-three magazine ending permanently in 2026, the available D23 membership plans will change slightly. The plans are:
- Gold Member Essential Plan: $49.99 per year
- Gold Member Choice Plan: $99.99 per year
- Gold Complete Plan: $299.99 per year
No matter which Gold Membership plan you choose, D23 subscribers will continue get access to D23 events, discounts, and special offers. Gold members will also receive an exclusive Gold Membership Kit, which includes a membership certificate and card, a Savings Passport, commemorative pin and magnet, and a special D23 Disney Lorcana trading card.
Complimentary General Membership will also continue. General members receive the weekly FanFare Newsletter and access to sweepstakes and general events.
New and Returning D23 Events Are Coming in 2026
In 2026, D23 has plans to bring back fan-favorite events as well as new experiences for members. Currently, the planned slate of signature events includes:
- D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, which will take place August 14, 15, and 16 in 2026 at Disneyland Resort
- D23 Spotlight Series, in-person events focused on unique Disney topics that will alternate between Orlando, Florida and Los Angeles, California
- Virtual Presentations in the D23 Gold Theater, a monthly series fans can watch live or prerecorded featuring speakers, talent, and magic makers
- Official Tour of the Walt Disney Studios, a year-round offering
- Walt Disney’s Los Angeles Tour, a joint effort between the Walt Disney Archives and D23 exclusively for D23 Gold Members to visit places Walt Disney frequented in Southern California
- Anniversary Celebrations, which will take place throughout 2026 to celebrate the milestone anniversaries of films, shows, and theme parks
