New Details of Casa de Coco – Restaurante de Familia
Before you set foot inside the restaurant, you’ll be able to spot a life-size bronze statue of Miguel with his guitar! It sounds like music will also be a big part of the restaurant, as Disney Parks Blog shared that you’ll hear traditional Mexican songs as well as music from the movie, like “Remember Me.”
The restaurant will be full of details from the movie and Mexican culture, including colorful papel picados as you enter the patio. Disney Imagineers created nearly 200 papel picados for the restaurant, taking inspiration from Mexican folklore, music, and floral elements.

A major part of the film is the alebrijes, which are spirit guides to the Land of the Dead and a Mexican art form that inspired both Pixar artists and Disney Imagineers when creating the film and restaurant. Inside the restaurant, you’ll find a massive carved Dante-inspired alebrije.

Another beautiful detail in the restaurant is a recreation of Héctor’s guitar which is proudly on display. Disney Parks Blog also shared that, towards the back of the la Sala de Música room, you can find notes from pages of his diary.
